Noise Analysis of Basic Circuits for Analog Signal Processing
Humpolíková, Michaela ; Sládok, Ondřej (referee) ; Kubánek, David (advisor)
The cause of noise in analog circuits is a problem of quality in output signals. There are many reasons of its occurrence, noise is caused by components connected into the circuit, and the assembly itself. This bachelor thesis summarizes the theoretical knowledge about noise analysis. Noise measurement in circuits can now be calculated with PSpice, the results are used for the design of low noise circuits. In the contained practical analysis of the circuits were achieved the results for the suitable designing of low noise circuits.
Module for detection of ionizing radiation
Matějka, Tomáš ; Džbánek, Lukáš (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of detector of ionizing X-ray radiation. Conventional PIN photodiodes are used for construction of the detector. The thesis describes issue of using PIN photodiodes for X-ray and gamma radiation detection. Transimpedance amplifier is designed with two diferent modes of detection. Both amplifier variants are compared and their suitability for specific applications is discussed. The thesis describes principle of converting analog signals to digital and describes concept of bus for multiple detectors connection to central unit. Options for paralel data processing are discused in last part of thesis. The detector is implemented and measured values are compared with simulations.
Noise sources of single phase induction motor
Knap, Zdeněk ; Janda, Marcel (referee) ; Ondrůšek, Čestmír (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is aimed to find sources of acoustic noise on a single-phase induction motors. Main focus is noise of electromagnetic origin and its actual connection to motor parameters. Noise frequencies are the key subjects of this work. Based on this literature research, it includes analysis of real single-phase induction motor in mathematical software MATLAB. In the end, there is a summary of rules for reduction of the noise caused by electromagnetic fields and list of dangerous frequencies for analyzed motor.
Design of low noise Band Gap reference in BCD process
Kadaňka, Petr ; Prokop, Roman (referee) ; Kadaňka, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on noise analysis of different integrated circuits used for generating temperature stable reference voltage. All noise contributions are studied separately and there is shown a way of their minimization. Circuit using external capacitor with pre-charging system is chosen as the best solution. Output noise of all analyzed circuits is compared and characteristics of final band-gap reference are summarized at the end of the work.

Analysis and Suppression of Noise in Astronomical Video
Švihlík, J. ; Fliegel, K. ; Koten, Pavel ; Jerhotova, E. ; Vítek, S. ; Páta, P.
This paper is devoted to noise suppression in systems for double station observation of meteors, nowadays known as MAIA (Meteor Automatic Imager and Analyzer). The noise analysis based on acquisition of testing video sequences at different lighting conditions and their statistical evaluation were described in our previous paper The measurement showed that the type of noise generated by the system is signal-independent in a certain illumination range. The noise and image models in the wavelet domain are based on the Generalized Laplacian Model (GLM) and it is the most convenient to estimate the model parameters using the moment method. Furthermore, the noise component may be modeled by the GLM also in the space domain. Overall, we verified that the GLM allows for modeling various types of probability density functions. In the final section of this paper, the performance of the proposed advanced de noising algorithm is verified on the real data, which were acquired in the Astronomical Institute.

Noise Analysis of Ion Transfer Kinetics at the Micro Liquid/Liquid Interface
Josypčuk, Oksana ; Holub, Karel ; Mareček, Vladimír
Fluctuation analysis was utilized to determine the TEA ion transfer kinetics across the water/1,2-dichloroethane interface. The average value ks = 0.34 cm s-1 is comparable with the previously reported value ks = 0.2 cm s-1, derived from electrochemical impedance spectroscopy experiments. The experimental approach utilizing a thick wall glass microcapillary to fix the interface exhibits a very small stray capacitance value, proving this system to be suitable for determining the kinetics of the fast ion transfer across a liquid/ liquid interface. Application of a method employing a small perturbation signal prevents polarization of the inner capillary surface by current flowing through the cell. The induced polarization of the capillary can affect ion concentration at the interface due to electroosmosis and thus make the kinetics data evaluation difficult or erroneous.
