Experience of the use of nicotine pouches among the student of secondary grammar school

Introduction: In recent years, the tobacco industry has begun innovating novele new nicotine product categories. These include nicotine pouches. These are beginning to appeal particularly to the youth population, which may include secondary grammar school students. Objectives: The aim of the study was to map the experiences of high school students in the Pardubice Region with the use of nicotine pouches. A sub-objective was to determine the prevalence of tobacco and nicotine product use among secondary grammar school students. Methods: Quantitative research was used to obtain the data. The research was conducted using an anonymous online questionnaire survey in the Survio.com platform. The management of the Secondary Grammar School Dašická in Pardubice was approached for the research and agreed to conduct the research among students over 15 years of age. The research was conducted successively in all 16 classes, mostly during the Social Studies classes. Students completed the survey on their smart devices. The diploma thesis deals with the new trends in customer behaviour on the market with tobacco products and their alternatives – e-cigarettes, heat-not-burn tobacco and nicotine pouches. It offers a comprehensive view of the customer be-haviour on the market with classical tobacco products, primarily cigarettes. Based on this, research assumptions concerning alternatives were created. Quantitative method in the form of a questionnaire survey (n = 316) and qualitative method in the form of focus groups (n = 20) were used to fulfill the objective of the thesis. Based on the results, recommendations for tobacco companies were formulated.
Experience of pupils in the second grade of a selected primary school with selected nicotine-containing products

This bachelor thesis examines the experience of pupils with selected products containing nicotine at a primary school in Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part of the thesis starts with the characterization of nicotine as a chemical substance, its metabolism and effects on the body. It also specifies the different possibilities of consuming nicotine. In addition, it provides an overview of the nicotine-containing products that are in the focus of this research, namely cigarettes and nicotine pouches. Furthermore, the theoretical part provides a description about nicotine addiction and its neurobiology as well as treatment options and the importance of prevention of addictive substances. The practical part of the bachelor thesis is based on the results of a questionnaire survey, which evaluates the experience of a selected population group with selected nicotine-containing products. The questionnaire contains 37 questions, which are closed, semi-closed or open- ended. The research works with a total of 123 questionnaires. Patterns of chewing tobacco and nicotine pouches usage among athletes: an online survey

BACKGROUND: Nicotine is one of the most commonly used addictive substances amongst the general population. Nonetheless, there is not much information on the use of chewing tobacco or nicotine pouches, even more so when it comes to studies concerning athletes. AIMS: The goal of this work was to map out the patterns of using chewing tobacco and nicotine pouches amongst athletes, specifically American football players and ice hockey players. METHODS: Quantitative questionnaire research was carried out with the help of the online tool Survio. The questionnaire was distributed through members of selected sports teams, American football and ice hockey, coaches, or team emails. RESULTS: 219 respondents took part in the study, of them, 114 were American football players and 105 were ice hockey players. Out of the 219 respondents, 65 of the 114 American football players (57%) and 53 of the ice hockey players (53%) have used chewing tobacco. While 49 American football players and 43 ice hockey players have used nicotine pouches. On average, respondents encountered chewing tobacco at the age of 19, and nicotine bags at the age of 21. Experience of students of the faculty of education with the use of oral forms of tobacco and nicotine: an online survey

Introduction: To reduce risks, tobacco manufacturers have started to diversify their products. Nicotine can now be obtained from smokeless tobacco products, including oral tobacco and nicotine e.g in pre-filled sachets (snus, nicotine sachets). Students of Faculty of Education belong to a group of young people who can be approached by these products, and at the same time, as future teachers, they should be informed about these products. Objectives: The aim of the work was to find out the experience of students of the Faculty of Education, Charles University with the use of oral forms of tobacco and nicotine. Methods: Quantitative research was used to obtain the data. The research has been done using an anonymous online questionnaire survey in the Survio.com platform. Students were approached by e-mail, which is used by all students of a particular and a student Facebook account. The data obtained was processed in Excel. The questionnaire was divided into four parts. The first part of the questionnaire collected basic information on respondents (age, field of study, year), the second part questionnaire examined the experience of the prevalence of tobacco and nicotine use, the third part examined the experience of nicotine pouches and the last part examined the experience with oral tobacco use....
