Ventilation and air conditioning of a car cabine
Viščor, Petr ; Hejčík, Jiří (referee) ; Fišer, Jan (advisor)
In this work are described kinds and functions of air-conditioning systems which are used in cars. Further is described heat transfer between car cabin and ambient environment and issue of reduction of air-conditioning energy consumption. Last part of the work contains numerical simulation made by the THESEUS-FE 2.1 software package. This simulation was done on a model of the Toyota Prius car and was focused on effect of glazing on a temperature of the air inside the car cabin during hot summer days.
Airflow inside of a passenger car
Bělka, Miloslav ; Štětina, Josef (referee) ; Charvát, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with hearting, air-conditioning, air distribution and airflow in a cabin of a passenger car. Ventilation of the cabin is needed for acceptable level of indoor air quality. The air supplied into the cabin is conditioned by heating or air conditioning system in order to achieve an appropriate level of thermal comfort of the passengers. Various arrangements of automotive heating and air-conditioning systems are described in the thesis. The thesis also includes the description and results of a set of measurements of air temperatures and air velocities inside of a passenger car cabin.
Car cabin passive cooling system performance study
Viščor, Petr ; Hejčík, Jiří (referee) ; Fišer, Jan (advisor)
The work is focused on issue of passive cooling in a cabin of a car. The basic principles and mechanisms of heat transfer are described in the theoretical part and the quality of cabin environment in terms of thermal comfort and air quality is discussed as well. Next part of the work describing the principles of ventilation and air conditioning of cabins and possible methods of passive cooling are discussed. Passive cooling means decrease of temperature of cars interior, without need of energy supply from car battery, or fuel. The last part of the work includes numerical simulation of selected methods of passive cooling using the THESEUS-FE 3.0 software. Simulations were performed on model of Volkswagen Polo car and primarily were focused on testing of functionality of various methods of passive cooling.
Testing method of car air-conditions
Bezděk, Lukáš ; Katolický, Jaroslav (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
A topic of bachelor’s thesis is a testing of car air-conditions. The introduction shortly covers the history of the air-condition in the personal vehicle. Following chapters describe a definition of air-conditioning equipment, explaining the cooling principle, and transporting the air to the interior of the vehicle. Air-conditioning device is a complicated unit, thus there are mentioned the main circuits and components, from which the vehicle air-condition is built. The basic division is also included. There is also a big chapter that paid attention to different diagnostic methods of testing the vehicle air-conditions. This chapter follows a proposal of testing device and functional scheme of air-condition measurement. The conclusion summarizes the usage of the cooling media, its impact on environment, and new trends in area of refrigerant.
