Stock Market Prediction via Technical and Psychological Analysis
Petřík, Patrik ; Pospíchal, Petr (referee) ; Rejnuš, Oldřich (advisor)
This work deals with stock market prediction via technical and psychological analysis. We introduce theoretical resources of technical and psychological analysis. We also introduce some methods of artificial intelligence, specially neural networks and genetic algorithms. We design a system for stock market prediction. We implement and test a part of system. In conclusion we discuss results.
Localisation of the optic disc from fundus photographs
Pěchotová, Barbora ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Odstrčilík, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the analysis of retinal images from digital fundus camera, especially with structure of optic disc (OD). The theoretic part describes main features of the human visual system and princip of eyeground examination. The paper discussed sevaral available methods that have been used for localization of the optic disc. In the second part is proposed the automatic detector of the optic disc based on the principle of genetic algorithm by using the method of segmentation of vessels by matched filtering. Original images are tested with this automatic method.
Protein Domains Prediction
Valenta, Martin ; Martínek, Tomáš (referee) ; Burgetová, Ivana (advisor)
The work is focused on the area of the proteins and their domains. It also briefly describes gathering methods of the protein´s structure at the various levels of the hierarchy. This is followed by examining of existing tools for protein´s domains prediction and databases consisting of domain´s information. In the next part of the work selected representatives of prediction methods are introduced.  These methods work with the information about the internal structure of the molecule or the amino acid sequence. The appropriate chapter outlines applied procedure of domains´ boundaries prediction. The prediction is derived from the primary structure of the protein, using a neural network  The implemented procedure and its possibility of further development in the related thesis are introduced at the conclusion of this work.
Holographic antenna
Klečka, Tomáš ; Polívka,, Milan (referee) ; Pokorný, Michal (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with principle of microwave holography, methods of microwave hologram recording and analyzes some types of holographic antennas from structural and functional point of view. It also includes simulations of selected holographic antennas and their modi?cations, applies optimization on three types of antennas. Finally it reviews measured results of three costructed antennas.
Wavelet Filtering of ECG Signals
Handl, Marek ; Smital, Lukáš (referee) ; Kozumplík, Jiří (advisor)
The work deals with the wavelet transformation, focusing on wavelet transforms with discrete time (DTWT). The practical part is focused on the implementation of redundant packet DTWT and its use in the filtration of ECG signals. The main part of the work is to design wiener filter that uses redundant packet DTWT, designed to eliminate interference myopotentials of ECG signals. The actual solution is implemented in Matlab. Testing is performed on the library CSE using noise model myopotentials used to noising original signals. For optimum parameters designed filter is used the genetic algorithm (GA). The work is carried out comparing the proposed filter redundant packet DTWT a variant of redundant dyadic DTWT.
Multi-Objective Optimization of Complex Composite Structures with Variable Stiffness
