Stability Issues in Modern Power Systems
SMV-2023-40: Characterization of sources and optical elements of coherent optics and use for commercial devices
Holá, Miroslava ; Řeřucha, Šimon ; Pravdová, Lenka ; Čížek, Martin
The contract research was focused on the characterization of the laser source. The characterization of the laser source was divided into two parts. The first part was focused on characterizing the optical frequency of the laser source for at least 100 hours with a resolution better than 100kHz. The second part concerned the zero-drift characterization of a common-path differential interferometer. It was a measurement of interference phase fluctuations during the reflection of interferometer arm beams on a common mirror (zero-drift) lasting at least 100 hours with a resolution better than 1 nm for a pair of differential interferometers with simultaneous measurement of atmospheric parameters.
Effect of compensation to cable networks on the stability of nearby sources
Popelář, Vojtěch ; Hruška, Zdeněk (referee) ; Bátora, Branislav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the infulence of compensation cabel network on the stability of nearby power source. This issue is topical with the increase in the ratio of cable networks 110 kV in large cities. The work examines the theoretical concept of stability and factors that affect it. Mainly discusses the stability angle rotor of a synchronous machina. The practical part is performed in MODES software, that performs dynamic simulation of the behavior of the model. In this case, it will be behavior of synchronous machine during short-circuit in network at different values of compensation of this network.
Time Domain Measurements of Oscillators’ Frequency Stability
Háněl, Petr ; Matějka,, Štěpán (referee) ; Baran, Ondřej (advisor)
The thesis focuses on measurements of oscillators’ frequency stability. The theoretical part describes the basic concepts of measurement of frequency, measuring systems and measurement errors. The second part of thesis describes the design of measurement system. The design contains all data for build prototype and software, including all source codes.
Synchronized sources of clock signals
Florián, Antonín ; Lazar,, Josef (referee) ; Drexler, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of synchronized sources of time signal. The first part of the thesis deals with the theory the crystal resonators, crystal oscillators and PLL. The second part of the thesis deals with the crystal oscillator with 10MHz frequency. In the oscillator is use of SC cut crystal. The third part of the work deals with method of synchronization. To synchronization is use of PLL.
The Influence of Photovoltaic Power Plants Disconnection During Frequency Deviations
Jasenský, Filip ; Máslo, Karel (referee) ; Toman, Petr (advisor)
The master thesis The Influence of Photovoltaic Power Plants Disconnection During Frequency Deviations introduce reader to the theory of frequency regulation in the electric power system. The theoretical part introduces regulation reserve that are used by transmission system operator to balance power imbalances. In the next part is made introduction to the system state classification and knowledge of European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity about unsolicited disconnection of photovoltaic plants. The theoretical part of the recommendations and simulations is followed by a part of the work in which the analysis of the implementation of the frequency boundary in which the photovoltaic power plants are operated in selected states of synchronously interconnected Europe. The master thesis continues to explain the origin of power imbalances by introducing a theory of electricity trading. Deterministic frequency deviations are one of the causes of the occurrence of frequent imbalances in the system and are discussed in the following chapter together with a proposal for a possible solution. In the last part of the master thesis are presented simulations that were made to determine the impact of the speed control regulator in the Czech Republic on unsolicited disconnection of photovoltaic power plants.
Frequency Stability Assessment of Continental Europe Synchronous Area on Equivalent Model
Macejko, Stanislav ; Hába, Tomáš (referee) ; Koudelka, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with frequency stability, system disturbances and their dynamic simulation. The aim of the work was to create a single-machine equivalent and single node model for the simulation of the system disturbance from January, 8, 2021 in MODES network simulator. The thesis describes in detail created models and achieved simulation results, which are the frequency deviation waveforms. The simulation results are compared with the actual behaviour of the power system. The thesis further discusses the use of the models and suggests further improvements.
Thermoregulator of piezoelectric crystal unit
Roubal, Zdeněk ; Vágner, Petr (referee) ; Kasal, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with thermal stabilization of crystal oscillators. A simple thermostat of piezoelectric crystal unit is designed in first part. Main emphasis is set to low input power. The second part deals with crystal oscillators with 102,5MHz and 10MHz frequency. They are simulated with Ansoft Designer software. Both of these oscilators are measured for short term and midterm frequency stability.
SMV-2023-36: Wuhan Space
Hrabina, Jan ; Holá, Miroslava ; Oulehla, Jindřich ; Pokorný, Pavel ; Lazar, Josef ; Šarlejová, Tatiana ; Šlechtický, Stanislav
The contractual research was oriented towards the development of optical frequency reference intended for the frequency stabilisation of ultra-compact semiconductor laser sources. This optical reference is based on an absorption cell filled with ultra-pure absorption gases, and it allows precise locking of the lasers with laser spectroscopy methods. The cell will serve as a reference of optical frequencies in systems of laser standards (532-633 nm wavelengths).
