Working hours and rest periods Abstract The master's thesis deals with the topic of working hours and rest periods. These legal institutes are presented not only from the perspective of current domestic legal regulations de lege lata but also outline their historical development from the medieval period to the present, including their significant connections with both EU and international law. A significant part of the work is also dedicated to flexible forms of working hours, such as remote work, which popularity has increased in recent years, especially in the context of the global COVID-19 pandemic. At that time, this alternative method represented an ideal way to minimize the risk of disease transmission while allowing both employees and employers to continue their work activities. Given that both working hours and rest periods affect nearly every economically active individual in the labour market, the master's thesis also briefly mentions related psychological impacts that can occur in an individual's life in connection with the setting of working hours and rest periods. This work deals with issues of business trips in primary schools that are provided by municipality in relation to the law No. 365/2011 Sb., that changes law No. 262/2006 Sb., Labour code, as amended and other related laws valid since January 1st 2012 that says empoyees cannot give up on their rights in advance. Based on assumption that travel expenses that must have been paid to employees in full are huge burden on school budgets. All the travelling with pupils becomes very expensive. According to connection between theory and practical use, all activities cannot be provided only at school and it's necessary that teachers travel with children to learn away from school. This work summaries the rules for reimbursement of travel expenses and reflects the views of headmasters at issues of business trips in primary schools. International and european aspects of the working time legal regulations Abstract The aim of this thesis is to comprehensively describe and critically evaluate european and international legal regulation of the working time and the rest periods. After the general Introduction the thesis is divided into 4 main chapters. The most fundamental outputs from these chapters are summed up in the Conclusion. The importance of the issue within the scope of juridical institutes of the labour law is emphasized in the Introduction of this thesis. It is one of the most important working condition for the employees. That is why the duly adjusted minimal protective standards are essentials for the workers with regard to the possibility of influencing theirs state of health. In the short historical summary I try to prove that people always realized the importance of the limitation of the working time and of the adjusting the minimum rest periods. I also refer to the fact that the european and international legal framework dealing with the working time is very extensive and difficult to interpret. It brings along burdensome work for the national legislators to duly transpose the requirements of the european and international legal standards. Working hours, their duration and work schedule Abstract The diploma thesis deals with the topic of working hours and related institutes in Czech labor law in order to provide a comprehensive overview of the valid legal regulation. In addition, the work deals with the issues of breaks and rest periods, which are inseparably related to working hours. The thesis is divided into six chapters, which are subdivided into subchapters. The first chapter contains a historical excursion into the history of working hours regulation in the Czech lands from the Middle Ages to the present. I also mention the valid legal regulation of working hours at international and national level. The second chapter defines the concept of working hours, followed by a detailed description of each of the related institutes - its length, scheduling of work, work overtime, night work, on-call duty and working hours register. The following chapters discuss the organization of working hours for employees who look after children or other natural persons, pedagogical workers, workers in transportation and employees working under agreements to work outside the scope of employment. Working hours and lunch break in the Czech Republic and selected EU countries

This thesis focuses on defining concepts, which meets every employee at work. There are explained terms regarding working time, rest periods as a break from work or vacation, pay for performance work after the termination of employment legislation in the Czech Republic. The same concepts are also defined in the legislation of France and Germany, where it is pointed out the differences in these jurisdictions, especially the differences in the length of working hours and rest periods in length. In the practical part presents full and part-time jobs, what are the advantages of individual arrangements and which countries are full or part-time on the contrary, most commonly used. There is also mapped the minimum wage and its level in the countries surveyed, depending on levels of living.

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to obtain a comprehensive view on the application of the provisions of the Labour Code on working time and rest periods to current practice issue, highlight potential inequalities signaling infringements and thus provide a forum for professional discussion about the possible causes and consequences of the facts and on the proposal as determined deficits eliminate or remove completely. The main pillar of this thesis consists of hypotheses which explicitly fores specifically the violation of the provisions of the Labour Code on working time and rest periods. By analyzing the results of the questionnaire and subsequent authentication set of hypotheses leads to fulfillment of the objectives. Thesis deals in the first chapter primarily with the characteristics of working time and rest time from a theoretical point of view. In the second and third chapter, the specific goals of research and the research of the problem are defined and also the setting and characterization of the research hypotheses. The fourth chapter describes the research methods and research file. Analysis of the results of the questionnaire is characterized in detail in the fifth chapter. In the last part there is a set of hypotheses assessment authentication. With this assessment, it is possible to conclude whether, and if necessary what is the extent to which there is asymmetry in the application of legal provisions in practice.
