Catalonia’s digital future determinants within Spain

This thesis is looking at analysis of current level of digital transformation in companies from two geographical areas: Catalunya and the rest of Spain. In order to compare data obtained in same way, a concept of simple digital index needed to be designed. This index was calculated and used on companies from both geographical areas, followed by further analysis of individual index determinants.

Táto práca sa venuje skúmaniu smart materiálových vlastností auxetickej štruktúry s elektromechanickou premenou vyvinutej na VUT. Práca sa postupne v jednotlivých bodoch zaoberá zostavovaním laboratórnych vzoriek smart materiálového systému, experimentálnym vyšetrovaním elektromechanických parametrov, dizajnom modelu a návrhom technických aplikácii. Pre danú štruktúru bolo navrhnutých viacero technických využití. Navrhované technické využitia boli experimentálne alebo simulačne skúmané a bol vyhodnotený potenciál pre ďalší výskum.
Evaluation of product innovation and its impact on an enterprise's international business

The diploma thesis focuses on the study of product innovation in a selected Czech company operating on foreign markets. It gradually analyses innovation in the different areas that affect it. The thesis contains an analysis of external and internal factors influencing this product innovation. In the last part of the thesis, there is a proposal for further progress in development and improvement of innovation.
The influence of digitalization on business model

The thesis focuses on the nature and magnitude of the impact that digital transformation has on the business model. The theoretical part of the thesis explains the terms commonly used in the field of digital transformation and describes the concept of business model including its types and templates for its creation. The thesis includes a sample mobile application created in Power Apps, which is used for reporting hours. This application is linked to a report created in Power BI via an automated flow created in Power Automate. This report is used for a visual overview of the hours reported. A sample business model of a fictitious company that specializes in website development, mobile application development and web hosting is also created as part of the work. The Lean Canvas template was used to create the model.

Digital Transformation and Grey Literature Professionals

This paper looks at the impact of digital transformation on the workforce in general, while the special emphasis is placed on information management professionals working in the field of grey literature. The following areas are reviewed - the changing nature of grey literature work, changes required on a personal level, the impact on work organization, and the redefined role of leadership. It is assumed that although challenging, digital transformation also represents an important opportunity for grey literature professionals.

Technology reshaping the retail experience

The thesis deals with the influence of digital technology on retail in relation to the customer: how it affects their communication and interaction with the retailer or the whole shopping journey. First, history of retail up to the arise of e-commerce, current retail's global situation and situation in the Czech Republic is briefly summarized. Then specific aspects of brick-and-mortar and online stores are presented on the two respective typical shopping journeys. The core of the thesis is to determine the key trends, which are explained, followed by the description of technologies and presented on the specific examples of real-world solutions. Those trends include different means of goods handover (delivery, pickup or different self-service models), personalization and customization, natural language communication, virtual and augmented reality or robotization. The aim of the thesis is to define the direction in which retail will later evolve and what steps traditional retailers have to take in order to stay competitive. The thesis therefore synthesizes aspects with trends which demonstrates how trends try to solve problematic phenomena using technology. The conclusion includes a generalized conception of how retail will look like in the future, particularly a determination of two basic concepts...
The readiness of selected companies for a digital transformation

This bachelor thesis deals with the readiness of selected companies for a digital transformation. It is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The introduction is followed by a chapter in the theoretical part about the third platform and its elements - cloud service technologies, big data, social technologies, mobility and Internet of Things. These technologies are the basics of the digital transformation, which is the topic of the following chapter. This chapter aims to describe the necessary theoretical background of the digital transformation readiness. Implementing the aforementioned technologies is not enough. The key to fully grasp and handle the digital transformation is leadership. To better understand the complexity of the topic, a list of other terms and definitions with regards to the survey is made. The digital transformation readiness of selected companies is evaluated based on the results of the survey, which is the main aim of this thesis.
