Elemental analysis of dendrochronological Norway spruce sample

The subject of this bachelor's thesis is the determination of lithium, sodium, magnesium, potassium, calcium, manganese, iron, zinc, selenium, rubidium, strontium, cadmium, antimony, cesium, barium, and thallium in dendrochronological samples of Norway spruce using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. The samples of the Norway spruce were collected in the autumn of 2018 on the southern slope of hill Melechov in the Vysočina region. The stem sample was first divided into pieces according to the distance from the bark and labelled A1a to A1g. The ash sample was obtained by burning a cross-section of the stem and separating the bark, from which the A3b sample was created. The remaining two samples were made up of needles and twigs and labelled as samples E and F. For elemental analysis, the samples needed to be converted into a solution, which was achieved by dissolving them in a mixture of hydrochloric, nitric, and hydrofluoric acid, using a microwave digestion device. After dissolution, a solution of boric acid was added to each sample solution to complex any unreacted hydrofluoric acid, which could damage the internal components of the ICP-MS. Suburban park Bažantnice (Kladno) in Botany and Dendrology Instruction

The topic of this thesis is forest park's Bažantnice mapping. The thesis suggests the way of aplication of botanic terrain education. Botany and dendrology is one of the main educations question on elementary and secondary school. Park Bažantnice can be used in science lesson for its hight potential. The thesis i s divided into two parts. The first of them summarizes differents types of the terrain education and focuses on didactic using of the park Bažantnice. The second one deals with the station mapping and describes way of data colecting and adapting. Accompanying pictures and generated maps are included in appendiced at the back of the thesis. Botanical (Dendrological) Walks on the Territory of Děčín

In this thesis, we are introduced to terrain-style (on-spot) approach to teaching botany and dendrology subjects on high school or high vocational school. The main goal of this thesis was to point out interesting spots in the city of Děčín from the dendrological point of view and design optimal walk routes for them. In the introductory part, the terrain-style approach in teaching is described, including its various types, goals, specifics of preparation phase and possibilities of using mobile applications as a tool for botany and dendrology teaching. We also wrote up about the topic of including terrain-style teaching of botany and dendrology into curricular school documents. In next segment, we described interesting spots in the city of Děčín from the dendrological point of view, such as: Zámecké zahrady (Palace gardens), Mariánská louka (Mariánská meadow) or Lesopark Kvaderberg (Kvaderberg forrest park). Overall, we designed eight walk routes.

Dendrologické hodnocení lesů v oblasti sopky Kanlaon, Filipíny

The theme of this bachelor thesis is dendrological evaluation of tropical rainforest in Mt. Kanlaon Nature park on Negros Island in Philippines. It is based on my research and cooperation with local dendrological organization. This paper is about character of a tropical rainforest, tropical climate zone description and differences between primary and secondary forest structure in Mt. Kanlaon area. The main topic is determination and description of individual woody species and their atributes. All data and information about specific tree species I could not learn myself while exploring and measuring, are aquired from local organization and other botanical or dendrological sources. Part of this study is a compact disc with photos of trees I took during my research.

Geologická a dendrologická charakteristika Javornického lomu

The main goal of this bachaleor thesis is geological, pedological and dendrological research in Javornice quarry. It's extraction has temporarily ended in 1998. The quarry is located a few kilometres to the east of Rychnov nad Kněžnou in the foothills of Orlické hory. The spot is going through an intense succession for the last two decades which represents appropriate moment for evaluation. Theoretical body of the thesis consists of wide-ranging literary characteristics of the spot: position, history of extraction and prospection, climate and phytogeography classification, vertical-horizontal classification, bedrock characteristics, soil classification, geomorphology and ecological relationships. The research body of the thesis consists of chemical analysis of soils developed after the end of extraction on the bedrock with particular regard to toxic elements such as arasenic, zinc, lead, mercury etc. In the next phase a research body of the thesis follows generic composition of woody plants occupying the spot and analysis its presence on a particular distinguished habitat.

Zhodnocení rodu Tilia L. z pohledu zahradní a krajinářské architektury =: Evaluation of the genus Tilia L. from the point of view of garden and landscape architecture /

The present dissertation entitled "Evaluation of the genus Tilia L. from the point of view of garden and landscape architecture" was elaborated between October 2007 and February 2018. The work is divided in the standard way for this type of final paper consisting of introduction, background sources, aims, literature survey, methodology, materials, results, discussion, conclusion, literature review etc, contains 339 pages of text, 437 pictures, 99 plates, 7 tables which are place in the text, especially in part of results. This work brings information about 23 cultivated species, the most important hybrids and more than 240 cultivars of lime trees. It summarizes information about the origin of the cultivated specimens, their characteristics and their description, accompanied by a large number of pictorial materials. There is summary of current situation from the point of view of systematic botany, name and origin of plants in culture, grown assortment and introduction of trees. The author also deals with issues of important lime trees collections, history of use in objects of garden art, but also focuses on the etymological origin of lime, symbolism and folk culture. From the point of view of the general characteristics of the genus, the work contains a brief outline of the genus structure, the geographical distribution, the important user and ecological-cultivating properties. From the described assortment has been determined basic assortment which has to be widely known and available: Tilia cordata, Tilia platyphyllos, Tilia tomentosa, Tilia tomentosa 'Petiolaris', Tilia ×euchlora, Tilia ×europaea. Based on the experience of growing in Oplany Klíče, an additional assortment has been set with regard to the needs of garden and landscaping architecture. From the phenological observations in Oplany Klíče has been made tables with sequence of unfolding leaves and flowering.

Analýza stavu zelene v Zámeckom parku v Malackách a možnosti jej zachovania

The work contains an analysis of The Castle Park in Malacky. Periods from its beginnings until the present were compared. Historical development and done or just suggested park adjustments were extensively elaborated and analysed. The overall analysis of the trees in The Castle Park, their number, taxon, size and health condition, were written down, described and worked out in the stock, taking. Trees determined to rehabilitation were filled in a chart individuality. The whole stock taking and rehabilitation are recorded in four stages. The town Malacky has started the revitalization according to the individual stages.

Letná Park in Botany and Dendrology Instruction

Letná Park in Botany and Dendrology Instruction The thesis proposes the possibility of using the Letná Park in Prague during the realization of a school botanical walk for the pupils of the 7th year of the elementary school. The work is divided into individual parts which deal not only with the importance of the walks for teaching, but also with theoretical and practical part, which will make the smooth course of the walk easier. In the thesis the species composition of realized plantation is described in detail and there are mentioned the examples of educational activities which can be safely done in the area of the city park and which can liven up and enrich the time children spend in this natural environment. In addition to the information above the work is complemented by the part dealing with the historical significance of the area and the architectural monuments, which are characteristic for this part of Prague. The main aim was to create materials, on the basis of which the teacher can variably choose which topics and to what extent he or she will deal with during the walk. New Nature Trail on Dendrology in the Podyjí National Park and the Integration of the Trail into the Existing Trail Network

This thesis deals with the creation dendrological nature trails and its integration into the existing network of hiking trails. The proposed route of the nature trail was selected the National Park Podyjí and location Lesná - Ice caves.
Work is also engaged in the exploration habitats and trees in this area. According to their location in the terrain along the trail, they were scheduled individual stops. The topic itself stopping is a graphic and text attachments to individual tree species and their habitats within the meaning of National Park. They were made graphic designs of information boards. These are presented as separate outputs nature trails.
The thesis deals with research already existing network of hiking trails in the localized area. It offers the possibility of tourists use the proposed nature trails in the overall assessment of attractive tourist destinations National Park. On the territory of the National Park were surveyed exploration existing nature trails. The inquiry was the issue of the length and design information boards.
