This bachelor's thesis deals briefly with the personality of prof. PaedDr. Jiri David, CSc., Art Education theoretic and pedagogue. It presents his personality via biographical method, which is explained in text. The work possesses the interviews from Grandfather's surroundings. The personal memories from my childhood are also described in the work. The didactic part is mainly focused on the topic of children's art and creativity related to Art Education. The objectives of the Framework Educational Plan (FEP) are taken into account here. The practical part of the thesis includes cycle of pencil drawings inspired by photographies from Grandfather' s life, large-format drawing with plant motifs and model of the author's book. Exhibitions Confrontations in the Years 1984-1987

The subject of this bachelor thesis are the exhibitions Confrontations I-VI, exhibitions organized in 1984-1986 by students of the Academy of Fine Arts and the Academy of Applied Arts in Prague. At that time, students were not able to participate in official exhibitions and the strong need to exhibit and confront each other led them to organize their own in their studios and apartments. Jiří David and Stanislav Diviš took on the task of organizing them after discovering that some of their classmates had the same needs as they did. The main aim of this thesis is to describe these exhibitions in as much detail as possible and to present their form on the basis of available photographs and reviews, and to evaluate their significance, both for the participants themselves and for the further development of visual art in our area. Furthermore, the thesis tries to place the exhibitions in the context of art and the social situation at the turn of the 1970s and 1980s. Art production at that time was strongly influenced by the ruling communist regime, which bound art with a series of restrictive rules and did not allow everyone to exhibit. Thus, the organisation of exhibitions in alternative, non-arts spaces was not an isolated event. The final part of the thesis assesses the influence of Confrontations as the beginning of our postmodern art, especially according to the elements that the exhibition reviewers saw as postmodern in the art works.

This bachelor thesis flows with the topic of how special grandfather could be. It is written by me as fascinated granddaughter. The work describes the relationship in the family with the person who evolves and enriches his surroundings. Its importance could be seen in the individual imagination of the art education progress. His influence is also one of the main topics to be told. This work is about expanding his legacy. The sense of the writing should be to remind and actualize his work and to open discussion about creativity. The other part is dedicated to memories and its words. It is pictured by some situations of spending our time together. Drawings are also important as some kind of evidence of growing up with my grandfather. Significant role is played by a lots of his colleauges who depict in his life. The aim of the book is to refresh his opinions and call up the idea of human beings living in sociocultural contexts. Approriatioon and recycling of media images

The bachelor thesis Appropriation and Recycling of Media Images focuses on how media images get outside their original context and how this changes their function and meaning. The work contains of three parts. The first part acquaints the reader with the method of appropriation and recycling, with its beginnings and its specificity. The second part investigates what icons are and how art uses them. We need to introduce basic semiotic terms in order to be able to explain how the meaning changes and how media icons work. In the third part, I focus on particular cases of appropriation and recycling, which are divided into separate subthemes according to their character, i. e. painting, political iconography, models and self-projection into iconic photographs. The fourth part occupies with the relationship between appropriation and copyright. It embraces subchapters on Czech copyright, Creative Commons licences, theories about free culture and particular cases of apropriation and recycling from the point of view of copyright infringement.

The Linguistic Characteristics of a Baroque Legend

Main topic of this work is to analyze language elements used in the legend from baroque period and that from the complete conception on the gross information contents this work and characteristic features of phonetics and morfology. No research in the field of syntax and lexicology was made at this point (our final work would be to extensive). The complete interpretation refers to father Jiří David´s baroque legend Medicus Hercinius, {\dots} dated 1713. First part we apply to common informations about the author, about the period, in which he lived and wrote his legend, and about his contemporaries. We describe the legendistic literature and conditions to her expansibility in our country, the life of saint Gunther then and the substance of whole David´s work in general. There are important informations about noted humanismus and baroque authors in next two chapters. We describe individual phenomens of two language levels phonetics and morfology then, especially with regard to theory and practice. Principal aim of my work is to contribute to o deeper understanding of Czech language from the late baroque.
