Evaluation of the Financial Situation of the Company and Proposals for its Improvement

This B. A. thesis is focused on the financial evaluation of czech engeneering company for the 2011 – 2014 period, based on the financial analysis indicators. Based on this analysis the improvements of the company’s current situation will be proposed. Data were drawn on financial statements, which are public documents and internal ressources. The thesis is dividend into three parts. The theoretical part describe basic terms and methods of financial analysis, which are used for evaluation of company performance. In practical part, these methods are applied on the company and detected weakness parts. According to gained informations are proposed measures to improvement the financial situation.

The aim of the master’s thesis is to valuate comapny BATA, a.s. using income – based valuation mmethods. Thesis is dividend into two parts, theoretical and practical. Theoretical part describes basic charakteristics of the terms, defines company and its value, overview of invidual methods and procedures used for valuation of the company. Practical part is focused on application of theoretical knowledge in practise. The master’s thesis contains economical analysis, especially strategic analysis, financial analysis and preliminary valuation of comapany based on value generators. Company value was based on two yield methods, especially method of discounted cash flow entity and method of economic addend value.

Value Estimation of a Company

This diploma thesis deals with determining the value of a specific agricultural cooperative. The theoretical part focuses on standard terminology and explains methods which are used for assessing the company value. The practical part of the thesis contains strategic and financial analysis including the financial plan for the next several years. Finally, the value of the agricultural cooperative is calculated using three different methods. At the end, one of these methods is chosen as appropriate for the given company.

The bachelor thesis analyses the financial situation in a selected company. The theoretical part characterises the determinants used in the analysis. Furthermore, it describes and explains methods of financial analysis. The practical part applies the methods to the selected company. It draws conclusions and proposes ways of improvement on the basis of the results obtained by the analysis. The implementation of the proposals should lead to the improvement of the company’s financial situation as well as increase its financial stability.

The first part of the thesis describes the theoretical bases, which are applied in the second part on the analysed company. On the basis of findings from the financial analysis, I have proposed measures to improve the financial situation of the company.

This bachelor's thesis uses analysis of economic indicators and statistical methods to evaluate financial situation of the chosen company, including the prediction of this situation for future years. The first part is defined to theoretical bases of economic analysis that are needed to understand this issue. The second part is analytic and contains calculations of indicators, which form the basis for the last part of this work, whose task is to provide suggestions for improvements to the current economic situation and increase the competitiveness of the company.
