Development of environmental friendly and sustainable tourism in Nigeria

Developing an environmental friendly and sustainable tourism in Nigeria is realistic. Compare to many European countries, it has been noted by different researchers that Nigeria is making below her revenue potential despite the abundance of natural resources and heritage location. Hence this study analysed the development of environmental friendly and sustainable tourism in Nigeria, considering four specific objectives, which are to evaluate the socio-demographic characteristics of the respondent, to examine the environmental challenges facing sustainable tourism, to evaluate the population of tourist in the study area and to assess the perceived ways of achieving environmental friendly and sustainable ecotourism in the study area. The study data was majorly primary data collected through a well structure questionnaire administered to 363 respondents from visitors of the tourist centres in Lagos state Nigeria. The results of the study were represented in frequency, percentage and charts. The result revealed higher female respondents (52.1%), students (36.9%), single (73.3%) and holders of tertiary education (93.7%). Likewise, the environmental challenges facing sustainable tourism was noted as flood (42.1%), deforestation (48.2%), indiscriminate disposal of waste (43.8%), waste generation (46.3%), inadequate toilet facilities, poor traffic control (41.9%), destruction of Biodiversity (47.4%), bush burning (44.4%), poverty (39.7%), lack of participation by host community (55.9), none involvement of community in the planning stage (53.4%), lack of support and coordination amongst the various government and non–government agencies (52.7%), poor road network to tourist location (44.4%), and Insecurity (62%), among others. Also evaluating the population of tourist, it was low, and the recorded perceived ways of achieving environmental friendly and sustainable ecotourism was provision of adequate infrastructure, attention of government, creating awareness, promotional activities, solving environmental challenges facing tourism, promoting corporation between government and the community, carrying the community along in planning stage and to participate in the early stage, proper management, sensitizing the community of the benefit of nature conservation, eradication of poverty and good security.

The thesis is focused on agrotourism, which is a frugal kind of tourism, behaves to the nature, so that it burdened the least and thus support a sustainable tourism development. The aim is to describe the area of agrotourism. Theoretical part describes in detail the concept of agrotourism and explains its meaning and importance, comparing the Czech touristic environment with the foreign one, describes the institutions that operates in the agrotourism and rural tourism. The practical part is made up of a questionnaire survey, which determines whether people have the notion of tourism in the consciousness or what they mean by this term and what is their position to the agrotourism. Furthermore, the observation method is used, which describes in detail two farms. It is a farm Ko ík and a farm Zababe . The purpose of the bachelor's thesis "Evaluation of business plan for the reconstruction and operation of an agrotouristic farm" is putting together a business plan, which leads to the establishment of a new company. The main aim is to create a new agrotouristic business and win recognition on the competitive market. Another aim is to show a possibility of a profit generation while minimizing the negative impacts on the landscape. Furthermore an effort to enhance sustainable agriculture and the development of an environment-friendly tourism. The work consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is focused on literature review on this particular topic. The practical part defines a particular business plan, which is focused on the calculation of costs, revenues, business profits and subsequent assessment of return on investment and viability.

Preferences for educational trails in NP and CHKO Šumava

As the main goal of this thesis was determined a project proposal for optimization of educational trails in the selected area of the National park and Protected landscape area Šumava. Purpose of the project is the improvement of tourism by creating a new product. Based on the analysis the primary data was designed optimization project:Educational cycling route. The intention is to link the major attractions of the Šumava´s foothills Prachatice with cultural and natural attractions of Volary, which is situated in a protected landscape. The purpose of the project is to introduce visitors with the landscape and history and promote their awareness of environmental protection for a non-violent way. For the project was defined technical equipment, furniture routes. On the basis of delivering of tangible assets were determined the total costs.

Rural tourism of selected regions in the South Bohemia

I describe a rural tourism in Soběslav and Veselí region in this diploma work. A reason why I chose this subject matter of the diploma work was an understanding and analysis of present rural tourism in these regions. I think that this form of tourism is not preferred and developed in this destination. But this destination has good conditions for a developing of the rural tourism, which is popular between tourists. I made the analysis of the rural tourism and itś developing in this work. I tried to uncover itś problems and perspectives. A goal of this work was a presenting of these regions as a popular destination of many czech and foreign tourists. I have an opinion that suggestions in this work can give advice to businessmen in the rural tourism, how they can attract touristś attention and which places are the most interesting. Other goal of this work was suggesting of effectual steps, which help to improve promotion of the rural tourism in these regions.

The proposal of tourism development project - Klenčí pod Čerchovem

The thesis is focused on tourism development in Klenčí pod Čerchovem and its surroundings in the south part of the Bohemian Forest. The main objective of this thesis has been to develop the project proposal, which could help solve the problems of tourism development. The situational analysis of tourism development in the area, setting marketing goals, selection of marketing strategies and creating a tourism development plan were important for the elaboration of the project proposal. The main goal of the thesis has been accomplished by the creation of the cycling nature trail ``What is hidden around the Starý Herštejn{\crqq} that is aimed at attracting attention to extinct villages, defunct glassworks, to the ruins of Starý Herštejn, to the monastery and attractions of Pivoň and other historical monuments hidden in the pure nature of the Bohemian Forest. Thanks to the cycling nature trail, visitors would learn more about historical development of human settlements and other attractions in the border area.

Environmentally friendly forms of tourism as part of development assistance (focusing on the Czech villages in Romania's Banat)

The bachelor thesis deals with the use of environmentally friendly forms of tourism in development aid on the example of the Czech community in the Romanian region of Banat. Compatriots from Bohemia, who lived in Romania since the beginning of the 19th century, due to long isolation have preserved a traditional way of life, but nowadays Czech villages are facing to social and economic problems that threat their existence. Situation of Czech compatriots in Banat has long focused project assistance, coordinated by People in Need Foundation under the auspices of the Czech Government. During recent years the project has been focusing exclusively on sustainable tourism development and business opportunities. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the agro-tourism project in Czech villages, its outputs, impacts of tourism on the lives of the Czech community and to evaluate the destination using SWOT analysis.
