The Lotka-Volterra population model and its generalizations

This bachelor's thesis is focused on several dynamical systems of nonlinear differential equations originating from the Lotka-Volterra predator-prey model. The aim of the thesis is to discuss stability and attractivity of the singular solutions of the classical model and its generalizations, investigate its periodicity and impact of the change of the initial data and entry parameters on the system's behaviour. The attention is also paid to involvement of time delay into the studied models, and its influence of stability on singular solutions. From the formal viewpoint, the thesis contains description and application of main stability technique applied to these nonlinear models and testing of results on some data.

Text mining focused on clustering and fuzzy clustering methods

This thesis is focused on cluster analysis in the field of text mining and its application to real data. The aim of the thesis is to find suitable categories (clusters) in the transcribed calls recorded in the contact center of Česká pojišťovna a.s. by transferring these textual documents into the vector space using basic text mining methods and the implemented clustering algorithms. From the formal point of view, the thesis contains a description of preprocessing and representation of textual data, a description of several common clustering methods, cluster validation, and the application itself.

Podmínky běžných účtů v České a Slovenské republice

The bachelor thesis focuses on current accounts offered by selected commercial banks in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. The goal of the thesis is evaluating conditions for management of these accounts, determining the best accounts for the Czech and the Slovakian client and checking, if membership in the eurozone can have an impact on these conditions. The main finding of this thesis is that the selected Slovakian banks have more expensive current accounts for their clients than the selected Czech banks and it is also checked that the membership in the eurozone has an impact on these conditions. It is due to the fact that this membership brings SEPA payments to Slovakian clients for the same fees as with domestic payments.
