Vránová, Veronika ; Šmied, Miroslav (advisor) ; Czumalo, Vladimír (referee)
Europe of the early 19th century is searching for its new artistic persona. Several new and distinct directions come into being, all vying for a spot on the landscape of arts and for the leading position. This desire to search for new directions deepens Europe's interest in the Orient. Meeting of the West with the East goes all the way back to early Middle Ages and manifests through several phases all the way to the present day. Fascination by the Orient in the 19th century was connected mainly to Napoleon's Egypt campaign, Greek uprising against the Turks, France's conquest of Northern Africa, World Exhibition in London and excursions into exotic lands themselves undertaken by contemporary enthusiasts. The wave of orientalism permeated all levels of fine art. It is most often seen in painting, graphic arts and photography and seen the least in sculpture. The thesis follows the orientalism phenomenon from the end of 18th century to the First World War. The goal is to provide some insight into its influence on areas of the fine arts in central Europe and provide background for future research in doing so. Key focus of the thesis is the research of exotic tendencies in architecture in the Kingdom of Bohemia and presenting it in the context of oriental architecture of other countries under the...

VRÁNOVÁ, Veronika
The aim of the bachelor thesis, which consists of theoretical and empirical parts, was to map the media image of a nurse. In the theoretical part of the thesis we deal with the topics of nursing care, nurse's profession, its roles and prestige. We also deal with important world famous and Czech personalities in the field of nursing. Last but not least, the reader is informed about the media, including their history and division. To implement the empirical part of the thesis, we chose qualitative and quantitative research, which was carried out through a semi-structured interview with ten probands and a questionnaire which was an answered and submitted by 330 respondents. Research questions have helped us to achieve goals in qualitative filed of research. How do nurses themselves perceive the media image of their own profession? How do series from nursing environment influence the media image of a nurse? Which media are most interested in the media image of a nurse? What are the positives of the media image of a nurse? What are the negatives of the media imagine of a nurse? Hypothesis have helped us for deeper examination in qualitative research. The evaluation of the nurse's media image is dependent on the age of the researched population. From the results we found out that nurses are not happy with their media image. People under the age of 29 value the presentation of the media image of nurses rather negatively, while people aged 40 or more report that the media image of a nurse is presented positively. There were no differences found in the evaluation between women and men. The results of the thesis can be used as a basis for teaching nursing subjects, or as a basis for material processing, which would be a real reflection of the work of the nurses. This research opens up other possibilities for discussion and other research activities in order to make nurse profession more attractive and besides other things it also tries to present the real image of nurse profession to both general and professional public.

Vliv fiskální politiky na výnosovou křivku
Vránová, Veronika ; Maršál, Aleš (advisor) ; Potužák, Pavel (referee)
The thesis analyzed the impacts of fiscal developments on the yield curve using quarterly data on the Czech economy over the period 2000:1 -- 2012:4. This thesis thoroughly reviewed the previous theoretical and empirical literature in order to sort out the rather inconclusive results of previous studies according to their main findings and implemented methodology. The empirical part consists of the estimation of the effects of budget deficits and government debt on the spread between the three-month and five-year interest rates, which closely reflects the effects of fiscal policy on the yield curve. The reduced-form equation was estimated by OLS. Since the estimated coefficients were not statistically significantly different from zero, this thesis did not confirm the conventional macroeconomic view of positive impacts on yields.
