The Development of Practical Functioning of the "One Country, Two Systems" Model in Hong Kong Under Xi Jinping

This bachelor's thesis analyses the major trends in the development of Hong Kong society that have emerged since 2012. The work aims to understand how the Hong Kong events correspond to the trends taking place in Mainland China and the United Kingdom in the selected period. It builds on two case studies of proposed legislative changes related to the Umbrella Movement and the National Security Law, focusing on the reactions they have provoked in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and the UK. The most disputed points within both case studies are divided into several chapters based on the principles that have been challenged. By confronting the British and Chinese views, this thesis aims to explain how the events in Hong Kong are perceived by both the Chinese and British sides, as this interpretation subsequently guides their responses. The thesis draws on the Sino-British Joint Declaration, other legislation specific to Hong Kong, principles of international law, and the interests of China and the UK to analyse the motivations behind the two countries' behaviour.

Monistic structure of a joint-stock company

IN ENGLISH: This thesis is focused on the monistic structure of joint-stock companies. The aim of the thesis is to analyse board structures in selected countries, subsequently to identify the features which are typical for a monistic governance structure and, finally, to compare these findings with statutory provisions in the Act on Commercial Corporations. The thesis is divided into seven separate chapters. Chapter One is subdivided into two parts. Part One is an introduction to the topic and attempts to define the term corporate governance. Part Two explains the importance of internal company structure for corporate governance. Chapter Two analyses board structures in Great Britain, the United States, France, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, in the Czech version of Societas Europaea and also, for the purpose of comparison, the typical dualistic internal corporate structure known from Germany. The subjects of the analysis are the relevant statutory provisions on the one hand, and the functioning of governance structures in practice on the other hand. Analýza studentských bankovních účtů

Cílem práce byla analýza studentských bankovních účtů v České republice. Její součástí byl podrobný popis situace a následné srovnání studentských účtů přítomných na našem trhu. Vytvořil jsem srovnávací model, pomocí kterého jsem identifikoval nejlepší nabídku. Dále jsem provedl dotazníkové šetření majitelů studentských bankovních účtů. Výsledky jednotlivých odpovědí byly zobrazeny ve formě grafického přehledu i s uvedením případného ověření platnosti statistických hypotéz. Na základě takto získaných dat jsem vytvořil soubor doporučení pro marketing studentských bankovních účtů.
