Evolution of Olfaction in Mammals with Focus on Superorder Laurasiatheria

The evolution history of mammals is connected with the dominance of smell and olfactory communication, which are important sense and communication channels also in recent forms. Two systems are involved in detecting and processing the molecules of scent, the main and the accessory olfactory system. These systems distinguish different types of scents, odorants and pheromones, which are also detected by different types of receptors. Significant factors for comparison of the ability of smell between mammals are both the amount of olfactory genes and the size and complexity of olfactory structures. The main emphasis in this thesis is put on the sensory part of the olfactory system and hence there is effort to support characterization of particular taxa by genomic studies. The ability of smell, respectively amount and variation of olfactory gene repertoires has been formed during the evolution on different circumstances and the ecological adaptation played a great role. The amount and diversity of olfactory receptors vary a lot in mammals and range through anosmatic Cetaceans and microsmatic bats to macrosmatic carnivores. Analysis of business education system

The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of education and development of employees. The aim is to analyze the business education system in the company Koito Czech s.r.o., identify strengths and weaknesses and make suggestions for system improvements. The thesis is divided into two parts -- theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with basic terms related to business education system, education methods and individual phases of the training cycle. The practical part is focused on the company Koito Czech s.r.o. It contains an analysis of the individual phases of the education system and opinions of the employees on established education system in the form of survey result. Based on the analysis, the advantages and disadvantages are evaluated and recommendations to improve the system are designed.

Financial analysis of the company Benea, s.r.o.

The main objective of the bachelor's thesis is to evaluate the financial health and status of Benea s.r.o. limited company, and compare the resulting data with the totals for industry as a whole. These are obtained by means of financial analysis tools. The data were taken from the financial statements of BENEA s.r.o. and other companies within the industry for the period 2009-2013. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical and methodological part deals with the introduction of different methodological apparatuses for financial analysis. In the second practical part, these tools are applied to the data and the data are clearly arranged in charts and graphs. The conclusion summarizes the achieved results of the financial analysis and proposes options to improve future operation of the company.
