Awareness of Eset-Help and Bona clients of possibilities in using the psycho-social network workplaces

The dissertation "Awareness of Eset-Help and Bona clients of possibilities in using the psycho-social network workplaces" is focused on Eset-Help and Bona clients' needs charting as to making use of psycho-social network workplaces from the clients' and from both these organisations workers' point of view. Theoretical part of this dissertation describes development of attitudes towards mental diseases and its treatment from historical viewpoint and defines concepts from the field of mental diseases accordingly to the International classification of diseases - its 10th revision. It delimits structure of psycho-social network and is elaborately focused on social services system. It presents summary of services determined for mentally diseased persons and other services in psycho-social network, sorted accordingly to particular resorts. This work also deals with problematic of knowledgeableness and barriers clients could be limited with in making use of psycho-social network workplaces. The profile of an enducationist in children's homes

This dissertation presents the general profile of an educationist in a children's home. It views the profession from two points: both individual aspect of its performance and from up-to-date state of children's homes and possibilities of institutional upbringing. The dissertation links theoretically defined legal, pedagogical and social context of institutional upbringing with actual working of children's homes and work of educationals in them. One partial goal of this dissertation was to answer following questions: What are the conditions of working in this profession? What singificant factors is it influenced by? What troubles may be hidden in educationst's job? What possibilities does it, on the other hand, offer? Different subjects were studied in five different children's homes, in Prague, Central Bohemia and in the district of Zlín. I focused on non-private children's homes. The method used in theoretical part is secondary analysis of available literature and references. Self-harming in perspective of child line

Cílem mé práce bylo teoretické uchopení problému sebepoškozování. Zároveň mě zajímalo, v jakých podobách se s tímto jevem setkávají intervizoři na Lince bezpečí a jak ho v hovorech se sebepoškozujícími se klienty prožívají. Domnívám se, že se mi podařilo tyto cíle naplnit. V průběhu realizace praktické části výzkumu jsem se setkala s řadou obtíží, kdy jsem musela částečně změnit svůj původní záměr a tím i výzkumný soubor. Tato komplikace však pro mě byla v konečném důsledku spíše obohacením - umožnila mi pohlédnout na tento fenomén z komplexnější perspektivy. Rovněž realizace rozhovorů s intervizorkami pro mě byla velmi přínosnou zkušeností - zjistila jsem, že za zdánlivě stejným přístupem se skrývají drobné i významné rozdíly v názorech i praxi, které jsou zajímavé a obohacující pro další práci. Často mě dokonce napadalo, že podobné vzájemné rozhovory by bylo zajímavé uskutečnit i nad dalšími tématy, se kterými se Lince bezpečí setkáváme. V neposlední řadě se mi snad rovněž podařilo lépe pochopit podstatu a motivaci sebepoškozujícího chování. Byla bych velmi ráda, kdyby pro mě tyto informace nebyly nadále potřebné a sebepoškozování i všechny jevy, které s ním souvisí, by přestaly existovat, ale trendy zmíněné i v této práci naznačují, že se s ním budeme v budoucnu u adolescentů setkávat pravděpodobně...
Evaluation of social activation services for visually impaired people in the organization TyfloCentrum Karlovy Vary, o.p.s.

The aim of my bachelor thesis is to find out whether the users of TyfloCentrum in Karlovy Vary are satisfied with the social-activation service provided to them, how they benefit from such a service and what shortcomings thereof they have experienced. Subsequently, the findings will be provided to the management of the organization as a feedback serving for the improvement of the service. This thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The former defines the theoretical basis and terms. The main focus is on the target group of the persons having sight impairment, the social services system with emphasis on the social-activation service and the provision of the basic information regarding the organization TyfloCentrum in Karlovy Vary. The second part is practical and deals with the analysis and interpretation of the data gathered by way of a semi-structured interview during the research. At the end of the work, an overall evaluation of the service in question as well, as several recommendations for its improvement are provided. Elimination of Barriers in Programmes of Czech Television for People with a Hearing Disability

(in English): This bachelor thesis deals with closed subtitles as a means to remove barriers in terms of access to programmes broadcasted by Czech Television for viewers with hearing disabilities. The theoretical part provides a general view at the target audience and their communication specifics that may affect their closed subtitles usage. Attention is also paid to the statutory framework which sets out the obligation to provide a certain percentage of broadcasted programmes with closed subtitles and to the extent of fulfillment of the legal obligations. The possibilities of providing pre-recorded programmes with closed subtitles are discussed as well. The practical part reports a research probe focused on the satisfaction of hearingimpaired viewers with services of Czech Television.

It looks at different aspects connected with education in institutions, which are a priori a social service. A description of a project called Dove organised in a low threshold club Džagoda in Prague 14, which I took part in, is a part of the thesis.
The approach of the lay and professional public in Pilsen to the issue of rape

The main purpose of this master's thesis was to analyze the views of the general public and professionals in the city of Pilsen on the issue of rape using both qualitative and quantitative research methods. The qualitative section of the research was supported by interviews with qualified employees of Bílý kruh bezpečí, People in need Czech republic, Občanská poradna Plzeň, crisis centre Plus pro lidi v krizové situace, employee of the Probation and Mediation Service in Pilsen, patrolmen and detectives from the Criminal Police department in Pilsen. The following quantitative research was conducted using method of questionnaire survey with participants from the general public. The research was focused primarily on prosecution strategies in rape cases, general knowledge of sexual assault crime laws in Czech Republic, overal awareness of the issue and interest in further education on the topic from both general public and professionals. The theoretical part of the thesis was focused on the term of rape and its history, myths about rape, the victim and the offender, laws regarding rape in the Czech Republic and the methods of investigation of rape cases. The bachelor paper "Social analysis of the indebted citizens in Prague 3" focuses on the issues of indebtedness, respectively overindebtedness, it's causes and consequences for single person, or the whole population. The essay tries to answer the question about the origin of overindebtedness, options of it's solution and prevention. The theoretical part deals with the issues by historical aspect and the law aspect too, mainly is focused to the execution of the decision carried out by sale of movable things, and advise for individuals. The research part works with the question, which segments of population the indebtedness concerns at most, by the aspect of gender, age, employment, nationality and education, focused for Prague 3.
Needs of Older Single Women

The thesis topic is The needs of women suffering from feelings of loneliness. The author focuses on the work of women who suffer from feelings of loneliness. It can be both a woman living alone, and also women who live with her husband or children, but feels lonely. My work is aimed to map their needs from the perspective of social work. The thesis is normally divided into theoretical and research, practical. The theoretical part is based on basic human needs such as the need of belonging, the need for integration, the need for association, the need for integration and the need for interpersonal relationships. An important chapter of the theoretical part are sections covering old age and aging, as an important factor that can increase the risk of feeling lonely. The practical part of the thesis focuses on mapping the current supply and state entities and facilities, services, self-help groups that focus on providing assistance and support to single women. The main goal of this work is to analyze and define the needs of single women in terms of social work. Outcome of this work should be to design specific programs that are aimed directly at women. It should be a support or self-help groups where women could share their feelings and to share them with someone who can understand them.
Community Housing As Means of Social Inclusion for Mentally Disabled People

(in English): The aim of this text is to describe how community housing contribute to social integration of people with learning disability who used to live at social institutions. At first, this paper concentrates on wide continuity of issues like specifics of people with learning disabilities and the changes into their care in Czech environment, which in last years are primarily related to process of social services transformation and deinstitutionalization. Oftentimes, the result of this effort is sheltered and community housing establishment. Next, the paper describes the first wave of transformation in the particular institution of social welfare for adult people with learning disabilities that leads into establishment of community housing for 6 people. In two case studie is demonstrated how this community housing significantly made a contribution to social integration. Not only that the members of the community housing had an opportunity to live their life like same-age "normal" people but also they were integrated into local community despite of their disabilities.
