Computational models of shock absorbers of plastic and hyperelastic materials
Burdík, Martin ; Vlach, Radek (referee) ; Burša, Jiří (advisor)
An aim of the given thesis is creating of a computational model of strain-stress behaviour of shock absorbers made of plastic and hyperelastic material. First step is get ecquaint with theory of large strains, theory of hyperelasticity and plasticity. Next step is get ecquaint with options of commercial programs based on MKP. Based on this knowledge, models of simple shock absorber are made. With created models, crash tests are simulated and property of shock absorbers are compared.
Design of device for determination of air mean temperature in the channel with various crossection
Tichý, Vojtěch ; Musil, Filip (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (advisor)
Diploma thesis was dealing with design of the device for measuring the mean temperature in a channel of any cross-section. First, the theory of heat, heat transfer and fluid flow was summarized. Theory was focused specially on the uneven temperature distribution in the flowing medium. Furthermore, a general overview of commercially used temperature sensors and developed sensors with applicability to the investigated problematics was elaborated. Then, a device for sensing mean temperature in a flow channel for several different diameters has been fully designed and developed. The device included the temperature sensor itself, the necessary measurement electronics and its programming, and a simple measurement data application.
Design of computational algorithm of electric machine rotor with respect to stress-strain relationships and critical speed
Pařízek, Daniel ; Lošák, Petr (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (advisor)
The Master's thesis deals with the mechanical design of electric machine rotor. Within the first two chapters of the practical part of the thesis two simplified computational models of the rotor (level 1 models) are compiled. Specifically, the model of flexible rotor mounted on rigid supports and model of rigid rotor mounted on flexible supports. The essence of these computational models lies in solvability using simple equations. Using these models can save time when constructing a pre-design of the rotor geometry. The following chapter is devoted to comparing different approaches to computational modeling of rotor using FEM. A predetermined preliminary design of a high-speed massive rotor is investigated. Computational models of different levels at stress-strain analysis and modal analysis are presented. It also includes a suggestion on how to proceed effectively in a given analysis.
Proposal of  autonomous source for measurement unit on the rotor of the electric machine
Kura, Ondřej ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (advisor)
This thesis describes the design and the subsequent construction of the autonomous power supply for the wireless temperature measuring unit, which is placed on the rotor of the electric machine. The theoretical part of this work is devoted to the description of methods in the field of energy harvesting and the subsequent implementation of one of these possibilities on the given issue. Furthermore, there is a design of mechanical and electrical parts of the source for the selected solution. In the practical part is the realization of the created design with the final measurement of source parameters.
Computational and Experimental Modeling of direct cooling of synchronnous machine winding slot by water
Kolaja, Adam ; Krejčí, Petr (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (advisor)
This thesis deals with computing and experimental problems of direct water cooling of stator winding that is assigned in synchronous motors. A model with similar material characteristic to a real motor has been made for experiments. The computing results showed us the appropriate place for the cooling system. This place has been chosen due to maximum efficiency and cost of the cooling system. The experiments on the model showed us, if the computing results are credible.
Constrained Modeling of Induction Motor Using Physical Modeling and FEM
Desing of noncontact speed meter
Benda, Tomáš ; Krejčí, Petr (referee) ; Krejčí, Petr (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (advisor)
My bachelor’s thesis discusses the design and realization of the contactless revolution counter. Design of the revolution counter has been based on the background research which discusses particular sensors and methods of contactless revolution counting. The measuring itself is provided by a PCI card Acquitek and a numerical computing environment and programming language Matlab. This programming language has been used to develop a simple graphic user interface. The revolution counter has been calibrated by photoelectric contactless measuring instrument CB-2234B.
Analyse of thermal phenomena using thermal network
Pavlů, Jiří ; Sikora, Michal (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create an algorithm for solving steady-state thermal processes, algorithms for dealing with the transition state of thermal processes and the algorithm for solving ventilation networks. At the same time, the resulting application were expected to meet the conditions arising from the use as teaching aid.
Design of cooling of electrical machines for production machines and systems
Vaněrková, Tereza ; Vlach, Radek (referee) ; Huzlík, Rostislav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design the water-cooling system for a synchronous motor with an output of 10kW. The power loss was analytically determinated. For the initial water-cooling system and for two design proposals, thermal models were calculated in Ansys. The same boundary conditions were set for all three models. Then the analysis results of the temperature distribution on the machine surface and in the slots were compared. The comparison also includes the economical cost of the production and service of the machine. Then the production documentation was created, consisting of the assembly drawings and a simplified technological process.
Online Identification of Trailer Parametry using Ultrasond Sensors
Vejlupek, Josef ; Štefek, Alexandr (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (referee) ; Grepl, Robert (advisor)
This thesis deals with utilizing "the common ultrasonic parking sensors" for assisting the driver with backing-up a trailer. Key issues solved in this thesis are "Online trailer parameter estimation:" determining the estimate of angle between the car and the trailer, and determining the estimate of the length of the trailer shaft (distance from trailer coupling to trailer axle). Thesis contains the model of kinematics of the car with coupled trailer and ultrasonic sensor model together with the trailer viewd as an obstacle.
