CNT composite - polishing methods and metalic coating
Thoř, Tomáš ; Václavík, Jan ; Vápenka, David
This study summarizes R&D tasks done in order to develop technology for polishing and metallic coating of CNT composite for optical and radiofrequency applications. Development was done on two types of material samples:\n- Material for the MIRROR demonstrator\n- Material for the FEEDHORN demonstrator
Feedhorn Coating - research report
Václavík, Jan
The report contains a description of the developed methods for metalizing of prototype of the FEEDHORN demonstrator, which is made up of a specially shaped carbon fiber composite carrier and a CNT layer. The report contains the results and comments for future construction of similar types of devices.
Device calibration.
Melich, Radek ; Václavík, Jan ; Žídek, Karel
The device has to be calibrated in absolute terms for its brightness response. This will be facilitated by a combination of an integrating sphere and collimating objective. The emitted total light intensity will be controlled by a reference photodiode inside the integrating sphere.
Selection process of an observation objective with respect to minimal glare level
Melich, Radek ; Václavík, Jan ; Žídek, Karel
An observation objective (OO) that will image the projection screen on the camera detector is necessary to choose in a such a way that its glare performance is traced. This objective feature is not documented by an objective supplier, therefore we design a procedure that enable us to relatively compare the objective between each other.
Measurement of camera spectral response
Melich, Radek ; Václavík, Jan ; Žídek, Karel
Spectral response of the camera will be measured using monochromator in conjunction with an integration sphere. Camera without objective will be placed in one port of the integrating sphere and light beam from monochromator will be fed into perpendicular port. Sensor of the camera sensor will be therefore uniformly illuminated by diffused light from monochromator. Proposed FWHM of the monochromator is 15 nm as a trade-off between light intensity provided by monochromator and deformation of spectral characteristic (Picture XY). Diameter of the integrating sphere has to be larger than 100 mm to ensure uniform illumination over sensor area.
NEOSTEL Collimator Realization Detailed Optical Design.
Melich, Radek ; Steiger, Lukáš ; Václavík, Jan ; Vít, T.
The aim of this document is to describe the optical design of the Alignment Collimator for the NEOSTEL telescope. The document describes proposed optical and mechanical design. It consists of several parts:\n• Optical design and its tolerance analysis\n• Ghost image analysis\n• Stray light analysis\n• Mechanical design and FEM analysis
Evaluation of selected parameters of a LIBA2000 glass melt according to ISO 12123.
Václavík, Jan
Measurement of refractive indices of samples, specifically refractive indicies nd, ne and Abbe numbers for spectral lines d and e. Assesment of refractive index variation, internal spectal transmitance and amount of striae in samples.\n
Image Interpolation
Václavík, Jan ; Odstrčilík, Jan (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the comparison of different interpolation methods. And their use on different grey scaled 2D images. The main part is dealing with linear, quadratic and cubic method and their qualitative evaluation for multiple resizing of image resolution. The analysis is resolved in computing system Matlab.
Evaluation of Corporation‘s Economic Performance
Bartálová, Michaela ; Václavík, Jan (referee) ; Kocmanová, Alena (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with economic performance appraisal of Aeroservis, s.r.o. It analyses the company’s developement in years 2006 – 2009 by the traditional financial indicators and the modern method of economic value added. Based on recognized facts I suggest measures that will help in performance increase of this company.
Blood vessel segmentation and modeling in fundus images
Václavík, Jan ; Odstrčilík, Jan (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
Studies of the vascular tree in the retina have applications not only in the medical field but also biometrics. The mathematical description of the retinal vasculature could help facilitate and improve the diagnosis of certain diseases, their automatic localization or to accelerate the identification and verification of individuals. The aim is to design and develop an algorithm that will automatically approximate major retinal vessels by parabolic, linear and kvartic functions. The main part of this thesis is therefore devoted to this issue, including vascular segmentation using Gabor filters, morphological erosion, thresholding, skeletonization and the resulting optimization of the approximation model. The quality of the produced algorithm is discussed in the summary.
