Author: Lucie Steinochrová Institution: Institute of Social Medicine LF UK v Hradci Králové Department of nursing Name of dissertation work: Comparison of a cervical spine pain before and after surgery Supervisor: PhDr. Mariana Bažantová Number of pages: 108 Number of atachment: 2 Year: 2011 Key word: Pain, treatment, degenerative problems of cervical spine This dissertation work is focused on comparing the pains before and after the cervical spine surgery. Firstly, the pain is described theoretically, its pathophysiology, its types from acute to chronic. Main part of this section comprises of evaluation, treatment of the pain and the nurses' and doctors' influence. Following chapters dissertate about degenerative problems of cervical spine. The conclusion of the theoretical part of the dissertation work describes aftercare, rehabilitation and home care. Experimental part of this work refers about a research I have undertaken. 46 people with degenerative cervical spine disorder took a part in my investigation. The process took part in a standard department of 'Na Homolce' Hospital. It was focused on the strength and type of the pain before the cervical spine surgery and two months later, comparison of the differences of the strength of the pain depending on sex of the patient and other factors,...
Effect of femoropatellar joint morphological changes on the rheological response of the knee joint

Title: Effect of femoropatellar joint morphological changes on the rheological response of the knee joint. Aim: The purpose of this work is to evaluate the possibilities of the rheological diagnostics of the effect of the femoropatellar joint morphological changes on total rheological response of a knee joint. The methodolical aim is to evaluate the biorheometry as a sufficient method, sensitive and specific for in vivo measurement of the abnormality, and to compare results of the functional measurement and structural examination. Methods: Standard clinical data of defined group of tested probands were analysed in clinical phase of this study. Specific parameters for measurement of radiological examination were defined. The effect of factual morphological abnormality of the knee joint was identified in experimental phase of this study with the help of biorheometry. The method enables in vivo measurement of the passive momentum (resistance) of a knee joint during forced flexion and extension. The result is expressed as the specific rheological response of the knee joint. Namely, the dependence of the passive momentum M on the angle φ in flexion and extension of the knee is detected. As a result, the total rheological characteristic of the passive resistance of the whole knee-joint system is...
Influence of the breast operation on the musculoskeletal system

Title: Influence of a breast operation on the musculoskeletal system The aim: The aim of this work is to describe and analyse changes of an extent of movement of the shoulder joint in a direction of an abduction, outer rotation and movement stereotype of the abduction. The target group are women who underwent a partial intervention. The method: For the research we have chosen an examination through the planimetric method with the use of a mechanical goniometer which provides a quantitative output, because this method offers a gentle way of an evaluation of the shoulder's movment extent (regarding to the oncological diagnosis and the type of the operation). To evaluate the quality of the shoulder's movement we used an examination of the movement stereotype of the abduction of thee shoulder by Janda (1993). The results: The results show, that the limitation of the shoulder movement extent and the outer rotation that the operation caused, is, more considerable by the group of women who underwent the mastectomy, then by the group of women who underwent the partial intervention. There were 30% of patients (6 women from 20) who underwent a mastectomy and who suffered from the negative change of the movement stereotype. There were only 5% (1women from 20) of women who suffered from this change in the group...
The quality of healthcare in patients with complete endo-prothesis of hip joint
Jedličková, Martina ; Mareš, Jiří (advisor) ; Tošnerová, Vlasta (referee) ; Kreminová, Magdalena (referee)
The bachelor skript approaches the duality of healthcare in patiens with komplete endo- prothesis of hip point. The skript is dividend into theoretical and empirical part. Theoretical part is build from two parts. First part concerns the duality of healthcare and sekond part is dedicated to probléme of. Komplete endo-prothesis of hip point. Empirical part is based on questionnaire investigation. The investigation was applied in selected patiens group from rehabilitation department in Regional hospitál Pardubice. Three areas were investigated . condition of information, satisfactory with performance and behavior of healthcare personnel and perceptive of pain and interest of healthcare personnel in patient's ache.
