Conducting Polymers. Formation, Structure, Properties, and Applications
Stejskal, Jaroslav ; Trchová, Miroslava
Conducting polymers are studied because of their conductivity, as functional materials, and for their ability to respond to external stimuli. Polyaniline and polypyrrole are typical but by no means the only conducting polymers. They are investigated alone, or as components of compound materials. The synthesis of conducting polymers and the preparation of their composites, their structural characterization, their physical and chemical properties, and their applications both in well-established and new surprising directions are of interest. The conference booklet includes the abstracts of 7 invited plenary lectures, 45 contributed short lectures and 79 posters devoted to the chemistry, physics, and applied science of conducting polymers.
Identification of limitation of current technologies in content of the project VLAM
Kadlec, Jiří ; Daněk, Martin ; Schier, Jan ; Kohout, Lukáš ; Kafka, Leoš ; Kloub, Jan ; Stejskal, Jaroslav ; Svozil, Jiří
This report is summarizing current technologies for the project VLAM. It provides plan for development of six educational lectures with this project and nine IP cores for the project.
Polyaniline: conducting polymer
Stejskal, Jaroslav
The contribution presents the fundamental properties of conducting polymers, which are illustrated on an example of polyaniline. After historical background, the preparation of polyaniline is described. The attention has been paid to the nanostructures produced by conducting polymers, viz. to polyaniline nanotubes. Finally, the applications of conducting polymers are discussed.
Separation of peptides by capillary zone electrophoresis with regulation of electroosmotic flow by radial electric field
Kašička, Václav ; Prusík, Zdeněk ; Sázelová, Petra ; Koval, Dušan ; Barth, Tomislav ; Brynda, Eduard ; Stejskal, Jaroslav
A new way of control of efficiency, resolution and speed of peptide separations by capillary zone electrophoresis based on the regulation of electroosmotic flow by radial electric field has been developed.
FTIR spectroscopic study of the protonation of conducting polymer with energetic compound
Trchová, M. ; Sapurina, I. ; Stejskal, Jaroslav
Preparation of materials combining the features of conducting polymers and energetic compounds is demonstrated. The FTIR spectra are used to discuss changes in the molecular structure of product of protonation reaction between two non-conducting compounds, polyaniline base and 3-nitro-1,2,4-triazol-5-one.
FTIR spectroscopic study of the protonation of conducting polymer with energetic compound
Trchová, M. ; Sapurina, I. ; Stejskal, Jaroslav
The preparation of materials combining the features of conducting polymers and energetic compounds is demonstrated. The FTIR spectra are used to discuss changes in the molecular structure of product of protonation reaction between two non-conducting coumpounds, polyaniline (PANI) base and 3-nitro-1,2,4-triazol-5-one (NTO). The progress of protonat ion of PANI with NTO was assessed by the changes in conductivity.
Spectroscopy of conjugated polymers:polyaniline
Trchová, M. ; Zemek, Josef ; Stejskal, Jaroslav
The structure and properties of conducting polymers can be studied by various spectroscopic techniques. The infrared and photoelectron spectroscopy have been used to investigate the doping process and structural transitions in polyaniline.
