Educational Project Saccharides Topic Work in Chemistry for high school

Renata Šedivá sedivarenata@gmail.com This diploma thesis is a suggestion of educational project Saccharides classifiable into education of Chemistry in 3rd year of four-year grammar school. In the first part there is a research of literature sources concerning the issue project education. The Following part is a suggestion of educational project Saccharides, its product are lessons about the topic saccharides, which are designed, prepared and taught by the students. The suggestion of the project contains a timetable of the project, instructions and methodology for individual parts of the project (motivation, preparation of lessons, laboratory works, presentation of lessons, final practice, test and reflection), methodological notes and documentation to the implementation of the project at Grammar school in Dvůr Králové nad Labem.

Performance-enhancing substances in sport and their effects on the human body - the preparation and the evaluation of new didactic materials

The diploma thesis is foollow up on nutritional supplements in sport, both allowed and forbidden, therefore doping. It focuses on teaching at secondary (hight) schools and incorporating the issue of sports supplements into lessons. The theoretical part includes an analysis of the RVP for grammar schools and sports grammar schools, a literature search on the topic of support substances i sport and the theory of didactic research. The practical part contains an evaluation of the questionnaire survey, which examines pupils' knowledge about nutritional supplements focused on sport, and evaluation of the evaluation questionnaire, which is served as a feedback reflection in verifying didactic materials. Furthermore, in the practical part there is created technical text for teachers, presentations with didactic notes, worksheet including author's solution and didactic game verifying knowledge after the subject's interpretation.

Zuzana Hegrová zuzana.hegrova@seznam.cz This thesis deals with environmental education in chemistry at both of the primary schools and the lower level of grammar schools. It is primarily focused on environmental chemical experiments at ecoschools. Since this topic is highly interdisciplinary, thesis interferes with other educational areas and disciplines than in chemistry. The theoretical part deals with the current situation in the field of environmental education. There is a tentative analysis of several contemporary Czech textbooks for primary schools and lower level of grammar schools. The analysis compares the representation of selected environmental topics and the number of experiments that appear in textbooks. In the practical part there are prepared teaching materials to support the experimental teaching chemistry with author solution for teachers. 5 ABSTRACT Charles University in Prague - Faculty of Science Department of Teaching and Didactics of Chemistry Albertov 3, 128 40 Praha 2, Czech Republic Drugs from different points of view Mgr. Marie Malechová marie.malechova@gmail.com In my thesis I made a suggestion of the educational project of the subject "Drugs from different points of view". The project is made for students in secondary schools and contains several theoretical tasks in which students get knowledge about legal and illegal drugs. Students work in groups and then present their project and information to their classmates in a multimedia presentation. This project was launched in the fifth class at Jan Neruda Grammar School in Prague (the six-grade-school) in 2009. During implementation there was confirmed that education based on project learning is an appropriate form especially for topics having close connection with our everyday life problems, where the traditional teaching methods are not acceptable. The project also proved to be a suitable format for science subjects connection and integration. Working in groups - cooperative education - has been proved suitable too.

Summary of Ph.D.Thesis Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Science, Department of Teaching and Didactics of Chemistry At the end of my thesis about the importace of chemical experiments in chemical education and especially about the importace of analytic chemistry in secondary grammar schools I'd like to summarize the most important ideas from particular chapters. I think that the objects I have determined at the beginnig, have been filled and my work will help to perceive analytic chemistry as an integral part of chemistry education in secondary grammar schools. I have emphasized importace of chemical experiment and its use in analytical chemistry education. I have pointed a possibility of working relation among school subjects and a possibility of putting several cross-sectional topics into analytic chemistry education. Other object was to check students' knowledge. I have also intent on particular experiments and I have dividend them into several groups and I have prepared them to be put just into lessons by teachers and some notices and solutions are added.
