This bachelor`s thesis is aimed on computer networking, directly on renovation of network for company Eltes ltd. The content of this thesis is to analyze current situation of building and computer network, describe theoretic background which I need to design a solution. When making design of solution I take into account the building possibilities and client requirements. One of components in my work is list of used elements of network and calculation of costs.
Geometry Correction of a Prototype Part using the Reverse Engineering Technology
Smejkal, Martin ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Slaný, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis summarises some modern engineering technologies, namely Reversed Engineering, Rapid Prototyping and Soft-tooling. The Theory chapter describes the mentioned technologies in details and an extra attention is paid to those used in the Experimental chapter. The Experimental chapter summarises steps involved in a prototype part manufacturing. Specifically, in this thesis the method of Reversed Engineering includes 3D scanning followed by smoothing and adjusting of the obtained point cloud in the GOM Inspect V8 software. The final 3D CAD model is obtained in the Catia software. For the Rapid Prototyping the 3D CAD model was 3D printed using the FDM technology. The obtained 3D printed master model was used to prepare a silicone mould that was subsequently used to create an identical part by the method of Soft-tooling. The original part and parts obtained by 3D printing and moulding were compared in the GOM Inspect V8 software by the method of Surface Analysis.
Company Performance Assessment
Havlík, Jakub ; Smejkal, Martin (referee) ; Veselý, Josef (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis deals with performance and management evaluation of VAMET Ltd. Comprehensive analysis is made on the basis of assessing, nine criteria model of Quality Council of the Czech Republic, called Start Plus model. Specific survey with point values is made due to help reveal strengths and weaknesses of the company. Supporting measures are proposed towards the end of the thesis, which should contribute to the development of the company’s performance.
Jihlavsko - Dřevostavba pro čtyř až pětičlennou rodinu
Smejkal, Martin
The title of the bachelor's work: Jihlava region -- A wooden house for a family of four to five members The subject of the bachelor's work is a design of a single-floor family house without a living attic for a family of four to five members in Jihlava region. A pitched roof is considered as the roofing. The house is designed for a universal building site with a flat terrain. A part of the work is a design of four variations of layout and spatial arrangement with regard to important preconditions for the life of a family, its healthy development and desirable fulfilling of its function. The selected most suitable alternative was further worked on in a design part, for two different structural systems of a wooden house. For the possibility to compare two selected building systems there was considered the same living space, the structure of cladding influenced built-up space. The calculation of heat transmission through cladding and roofing construction for both variations has been carried out.
Collectivization of agriculture in the region of Rakovník district called the Balkans.
Smejkal, Martin ; Kocian, Jiří (advisor) ; Cuhra, Jaroslav (referee)
Bachelor thesis, titled The collectivization of agriculture in the region of Rakovník district called the Balkans, deals with the theme of collectivization in the villages southeast of Rakovnik district, which is called the Balkans. Period between 1949 and 1960 is mainly observed in the work. The first part is devoted to a brief description of the course of collectivization in Czechoslovakia, postwar organization of the state and development of agricultural policy. The work also follows the development of the agricultural issues in the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, which was a major political force in the country. The second part outlines the region called the Balkans. Where selected municipalities for monitoring of the specific course of the collectivization are located. The second chapter deals with the establishment of uniform agricultural cooperatives in individual municipalities, their development from the beginning to the merging of the 60s of last century. Agitational pursuit of national committees and other groups in persuading to join the collective farm is recorded in the work. There is also mentioned dealing with the so-called kulaks - forced evictions, criminal prosecution, repression against opponents of collectivization and the reactions of the population from the voluntary entry...
Přibyslav - Návrh dřevostavby rodinného domu
Smejkal, Martin
The subject of the thesis is a design of a single-floor detached house with a frame construction for a family of four to five members in Přibyslav. The house of a bungalow type is designed for a specific building site with a slightly sloping terrain. The basic idea of the assignment is a presumption that the timber for the construction will be taken as round timber from own wood. The theoretical part of the work deals with the definition of the requirements and regulations for developing of necessary technical documentation for the realization of the wooden house. Subsequently, defects and the protection of the wood are described as well as the types of saws, which is necessary for processing of the practical part of the thesis. The principal part of the thesis leads to the realization of the design documentation of a specific house which is essential for the calculation of the amount of the timber for the realization of the construction and for the comparison of the options of round timber logging, moving it closer, its transport and cutting. For comparing there is another option which is considered: the ready-to-use timber is purchased and the round timber from the wood is sold. The conclusion of the work deals with the summarizing and evaluating of the discussed issue.
Impact of tax rates on tax revenue for the state – modeling of Laffer curve
Šmejkal, Martin ; Soukup, Jindřich (advisor) ; Makovský, Petr (referee)
There are many recent studies which try to find the evidence of the Laffer curve in national economies or aggregated OECD data. In this Master Thesis I focus on testing of the primary linear relation of the corporate income tax rate and the corporate tax base, that I call herein adjusted Laffer curve. The adjusted Laffer curve is then transferred through the simplification into the ordinary Laffer curve. The linear regression analysis is performed on the OECD data of 34 countries across years 2000 to 2014. Firstly, the countries are split by the national tax system criteria, such as tax quota, tax revenue allocation or tax structure of revenues that I consider essential for further analysis. Based on the results of linear regression I can only find Laffer curve in set of countries that aim to collect tax revenues mainly from direct taxes. However, there are also other major findings, such as the fact that negative relation of the corporate income tax rate and the corporate tax base, can be found in countries with the higher tax quota, while not in those with the lower tax quota.
