Design of heat exchanger for heating and humidification of combustion air

The diploma thesis‘ goal is to design shell and tube combustion air preheater for biomass boiler. The diploma thesis also includes the research of the effect of flue gas condensation on boilers power increase. The first part of the diploma thesis is theoretical introduction about types of air preheaters, options of air moisturing and effect of flue gas condensation on boiler. Following part describes the thermal calculations and construction design of air preheater as well as the condensing flue gas power increase and power increase due to humidification of combustion air.
Mecanum wheel mobile platform - detection of obstacles

Bachelor thesis is focused on detection of obstacles on omnidirectional mobile robot. Infrared sensors are being used to solve this problem. Signals from sensors are processed in microcontroller Arduino Mega 2560, where main computation and aproximation is included. Aproximated data are sent via USB to microcomputer Raspberry Pi 3 model B. Raspberry shares this data with PLC from B&R Automation company using Ethernet network. Final part of the project is visualisation, which is developed in B&R Automation studio.
