Returning to sport after LCA rupture in university students of physical education and sport.
Paulusová, Barbora ; Pokorný, Ladislav (advisor) ; Chrástková, Martina (referee)
This work is focused on the return of athletes who study physical education at universities to sports and active movement after a knee injury, specifically after a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament (ligamentum cruciatum anterius - LCA). The LCA is an important stabilizer of the knee joint, its rupture is one of the frequent and serious knee injuries during sports. Rupture of the LCA has very serious consequences for the biomechanics of the knee joint. The thesis describes the anatomy of the knee joint and possible causes of LCA injuries. The diploma thesis also deals with methods of injury diagnosis and treatment options. The aim of the thesis is to find out whether, after experiencing this injury, the athletes were able to return to sport without performance limitations and, if so, how their recovery took place. Fault tectonics of the selected areas of the South Bohemian Moldanubicum
Paulusová, Barbora ; Hartvich, Filip (advisor) ; Stemberk, Jakub (referee)
The master thesis focuses on the identification of the traces of active tectonics and their influence on the current relief. The study area is situated in the South-Bohemian Moldanubicum, the core area of the Bohemian massif. Two partial areas of interest were chosen for the detailed analyses, the Lhenice fault zone and Kaplice furrow, aiming to assess their tectonic activity. The introductory part concisely presents the geological and tectonic development of Moldanubicum, providing essential context, along with a summary of the research methods, suitable for the research of tectonic imprint in the relief. Digital data were utilized to perform various analyses in both areas of interest. Morpholineaments, thalwegs, and faults were measured and geophysical and seismic data were analyzed. Morphometric parameters were also calculated to assess the level of activity. Through analysis of tectonic joints, the influence of tectonics on the relief was thoroughly discussed. Geophysical measurements (using electrical resistivity tomography) confirmed the existence and course of faults. Additionaly, the areas of tectonic influence and active tectonic areas were identified. Notably, active faults were delineated, and possibly unknown faults were identified within the active regions. Finally, the conclusions...
LEVEL OF FIRST AID KNOWLEDGE FOR PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS AND WAYS OF PROVIDING THEM
Paulusová, Barbora ; Pokorný, Ladislav (advisor) ; Kainová, Lucie (referee)
Poskytnutí první pomoci by mělo patřit mezi základní dovednosti všech občanů. Důležitou roli v této oblasti pak hrají zejména učitelé, neboť právě děti školního věku jim svěřené patří, pokud jde o úrazy a nehody, do výrazně rizikové skupiny. Klíčová slova: první pomoc, úrazy, děti, učitelé, tělesná výchova, druhý stupeň základní školy Abstract: First aid should be an elementary skill of all citizens. Teachers play an important part in this field because especially school-age children, who are entrusted to them, belong to the high risk group with regard to accidents and injuries. It can be seen mostly in Physical Education classes where where these...
Main controls affecting the occurrence and extremity of rain-on-snow events in the Ptačí potok basin in the Šumava Mts.
Paulusová, Barbora ; Jeníček, Michal (advisor) ; Hotový, Ondřej (referee)
Rain-on-snow events (ROS) are natural phenomena that have the potential to cause serious floods, wet avalanches and slushflows. Due to climate change the spatial distribution and intensity of ROS events is changing. Accordingly, ROS events become more frequent in high-elevation areas as well as in high latitudes, whereas their occurrence at low-elevation and low latitudes is less common. The behaviour of a snow coverduringrainfallandmechanismsofrainwaterpropagationthroughthesnowpackarestill poorly understood. A frequency and correlation analysis of ROS events in the Ptačí potok basin in the Šumava Mts. was conducted. The selected characteristics of the events were calculated from measured climate and streamflow data (2015-2019) and then analysed to examine the influence of individual characteristics on the development of ROS events. Results indicate a significant correlation between the amount of precipitation and the resulting outflow, as well as the influence of other snow and rain characteristics was shown. The time lag of outflow was mainly influenced by snow density. In order to evaluate the impact of climate change on ROS events, climate time series were analysed for the period 1961-2017 and a significant increasing trend in winter air temperature and decreasing trend in snow depth were...
