PROCHÁZKOVÁ, Alena
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of systemic approaches of social workers in relation to victims of domestic violence. The main goal of this work was to map the approach of a social worker and his/her method of dealing with victims of domestic violence. In the theoretical part of the work, the issue of domestic violence was introduced. In my thesis I present individual areas focused on forms of violent behavior, characteristic features of domestic violence, including its causes and consequences and also the area mentioning the preconditions of a social worker for the performance of social work. Attention was also focused on the attitudes of social workers to individuals involved in domestic violence and feasible forms of assistance, including selected organizations focusing on this target group. A qualitative research strategy was used to develop the empirical part. Individual data were obtained through a semi-structured interview with five social workers from three organizations focused on helping people at risk of domestic violence. The research questions were focused on finding out the possibilities of education of social workers and their perception of the strengths and weaknesses of the organization in which they work. The questions also focused on how social workers work with people at risk of domestic violence, including perpetrators, and on the ways of help which they can provide. The aim of the research questions was also to examine the cooperation of social workers and organizations providing aftercare and work with the endangered person in the field of domestic violence. The work could be of benefit to students of social sciences, which could help them in a real and practical view of the work of social workers with this target group. The result of this work can also serve for the general public, as a summary of information about victims of domestic violence, possible forms of assistance and raising awareness of services and missions of organizations providing assistance to endangered people. It can also help to identify possible shortages in the addressed organizations and eventually make a suggestion for their improvement.

The Contribution of Farmers' Market to Czech Farmers
Procházková, Alena ; Fendrychová, Lenka (advisor) ; Spilková, Jana (referee)
This paper is focused on the represented contributions of farmers' markets to farmers and rural areas. The goal of this research is to find out if farmers' markets can be a thriving strategy for Czech farmers and if they represent the same contributions as the western authors introduce. The theoretical portion of this paper provides a review of the new paradigm of rural development, alternative food networks, farmers' markets and specifies the conditions of Czech agriculture. The contributions based on the literature research were used as material for interviews with farmers from three selected farmers' markets in Prague. According to the results from the interviews, it seems that the farmers' markets are partly a thriving strategy for Czech farmers despite differing conditions in agriculture. The farmers' market can be, for small Czech farmers, a way to increase their profits as well as provide them with a larger portion of the sales price. By contrast, the potential to increase employment by generating new job opportunity was not proved to be true. Only a small part of farmers needed to employ another person. Procházková, Alena ; Sýkora, Luděk (advisor) ; Pauknerová, Karolína (referee)
In the cities locality development tends to be the object of conflicts and negotiations of different actors with varied interests, e.g. investors, developers, municipal leaders and citizens' associations. It is possible to find among these participants a wide range of strategies and preferences, often including a visual presentation of the urban projects. This diploma thesis centers on the completion of the Victory Square, which according to the master plan of Prague should be a secondary center and it should be the main square of Prague 6. Currently completion projects for the Victory Square are discussed with a significant amount of opposing debate on their intended use, their purpose and also their design. The aim of this paper is to (1) analyze the present-day role of the unfinished Victory square in the center system in Prague, (2) ascertain who has an interest in the completion of the square and what methods are utilized to present their goals, with particularly emphasis on construction of a new identity of the space, and (3) discuss who has the ability to influence the final result considering the different roles of private investors, municipality and citizens. This thesis will try to identify the role of capital, residents, and discourse as influential actors in the reconstruction process...
Workers Party 2003 - 2009
Procházková, Alena ; Stracený, Josef (advisor) ; Havlík, Radomír (referee)
Resume This thesis is focused on an extreme right-wing party called Workers Party. Its actions and proclamations of its leaders are often on the very fine line between what is legal and illegal. Although labelled as a democratic party, its connections to neonacist groups imply its tendency to opose the system as such. The Supreme Administrative Court is currently hearing a case based on the goverrnental proposal to abolish this party. This thesis offers a complex analysis of the Workers Party. The theoretical first part analyses political parties, explains the view points of subject on the right and left wing and characterises the ideological viewpoint of the extreme right-wing parties in particular. The second part is focused on the Workers Party as such. The overview of the history of this party since its foundation in 2003 up to now is followed by my analysis of its political program and of its leaders' proclamations. Further, there is an examination of the Workers Party's connection to other extreme right wing subjects. 97
