The problematics of people with epilepsy in employment

This diploma thesis was devoted to the topic: the issue of the employment of persons with epilepsy. The theoretical part was focused on the description of epilepsy as a disease. However, most of the work was devoted to social work. These were areas such as employment and financial support for individuals with epilepsy. The research part focused mainly on the factors influencing the employed persons with epilepsy between the ages of 18 and 65 years. This information was obtained through a questionnaire survey.
Supervision in the Social Work

v anglickém jazyce Supervision is one of the possibilities of professional support, which helps in solving difficult working situations. They imply challenges, personal constraints and ethical issues. Uncertainties can be on the both sides of the social worker and his client. Supervision should not be a check of incorrect decisions or supervision of the choice of work outcomes. On the contrary, the supervisor should be supportive of his clients and provide them professional and correct leadership to ensure the quality of their work. The diploma thesis deals with the interconnection of supervision with burnout syndrome. The theoretical part draws attention to the preventive nature of the supervision process and the risks that are threatened in the absence of supervision. Both concepts, supervision and burnout syndrome, are described and explained in the diploma thesis. The theoretical part of the thesis contains basic terminology, division and important participants in such cooperation. The second section describes the situation regarding the use of supervision and the rate of burnout syndrome in selected social workers. The results of this survey are shown in the charts. The Adaptation Process of The Seniors in Residential Care

1 ABSTRACT The Master's work deals with the adaptaion proces of elders, taking social work services with accommodation. The theoreticaly introduces the topic of social services, demografy and actual documents. Following investigation shows that the residential services are not prefered by seniors; it's using is connected with negative feelings, at least at the beginning. The key role plays a family an social relationships that can widely help to bear the situation. In particular, we recomend the chase of conception of social services, introduce unified systém of data processing and support of social service.
The Labour Market Assertion of Persons with Physical Disability

The thesis deals with the application of persons with disabilities in the labor market. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the notion of disability and classification of body defects. Explains the concept of labor market, human capital and protected labor market. Also deals with the instruments to support the employment of people with disabilities and related legislation on this matter. Further focuses on barriers in the access of persons with disabilities on the labor market. The aim of the practical part of the reply to the main research question: what kinds of barriers are faced by persons with disabilities in finding employment on the open labor market? To answer that question the qualitative research was done using semi-structured interviews with clients Asistence o.p.s.
Questions of present paliative care

In my thesis I analysed the definition of the term palliative care itself. I've analysed historical evolution of this field. I asked myself who palliative care is intended for. Next, I've dealt with practical questions which the relatives asks when taking caring of dying person. In the final part I've described the issues which comes with the development of palliative care in Czech Republic - interpretation of laws and a questions about availability of this care. A separate question, legal and ethnical, was so-called euthanasia. Second level of my thesis are interviews with workers in palliative care field. I was interested in their motivations, what did bring them to this unusual field. I was interested in how they deal with this stressful job. I was asking them about practical part of their work and their opinions on the current situation of palliative care.
Social causes of bulimia nervosa

This master's thesis deals with the topic of social causes of bulimia nervosa. In the first part of my thesis I focus on the theoretical introduction. I present the matter of eating disorders in general, which I consider to be an important basis for another part of my work. I am dealing here with the general introduction - what are eating disorders, which eating disorders are known to us, I introduce their causes, consequences, sexuality issues in patients with eating disorders and, last but not least, eating disorders in men and children. For a better understanding of the disease, the theoretical introduction is supplemented by brief client testimonials from my practice. In the next part of the thesis I deal with the topic itself, the social causes of bulimia nervosa. I focus on the issue of the family and its possible influence on the origin of the illness. Furthermore, the influence of society as such, especially the relationship of society to the ideal of beauty and the development of the ideal of beauty in history. I explore the influence of the printed media, television, advertising on bulimia nervosa as well. The last part of my work is a qualitative survey. It consists of three case studies and an interview with four respondents.
