Hydraulic shock absorbers of train bogie
Odehnal, Lukáš ; Jeniš, Filip (referee) ; Kubík, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis mainly deals with design solutions of adaptive dampers used on railway vehicle bogies. The first part gives a general overview of the topic. The main part discusses current designs of adaptive dampers that have already been tested. Final part of the thesis compares the designs including their determining parameters in order to obtain a large enough sample to contribute to the development of a new, electronically controlled damper at the VUT in Brno.
Development of the coefficient of friction and lubrication film in a total knee replacement during a gait cycle
Odehnal, Lukáš ; Horák, Zdeněk (referee) ; Ranuša, Matúš (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with the experimental analysis of the coefficient of friction and lubrication film in total knee replacement. The experiments are performed on a knee joint simulator, with an implemented module for measuring friction. To observe film formation, fluorescent microscopy is used. The experiments are mainly focused on a detailed description of the influence of parameters occurring during the gait cycle. This approach should significantly help in describing the tribological processes that occur in the total knee replacement. The results confirm previous investigations in terms of axial load, where the coefficient of friction decreases with the increasing load. In the case of lubrication film, no significant changes are observed. On the contrary, while investigating the influence of SRR, noticeable changes in film formation are observed while the coefficient of friction being unaffected. While describing the whole gait cycle, precise results are obtained only in the first half of the cycle as the second half is accompanied by the occurrence of large deviations from a rapid decrease of load. This work provides a better understanding of the field of lubrication film in total knee replacements. Moreover, thanks to the simultaneous measurement of the coefficient of friction and the observation of the contact area, it is possible to draw better conclusions than if the experiments had been carried out separately.
Influence of surface microstructure on implant lubrication processes in contact
Matovič, Martin ; Odehnal, Lukáš (referee) ; Ranuša, Matúš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the lubrication of microstructured prostheses of the first metatarsophalangeal joint. The aim of the research is the service life of joint replacements by creating a microstructure on the surface of the material. The work focuses on the influence of microstructures on lubrication processes in contact and coefficient of friction. Fluorescence microscopy in combination with a reciprocating tribometer with the possibility of recording frictional and loaded forces was used to observe the contact area. The number and average particle size of albumin, which plays an important role in contact lubrication, were then examined to record the camera. The testing was performed on two material combinations, namely CoCrMo - Glass B270 (hard pair) and CoCrMo - PMMA (soft pair), which were only four different microstructures. Elsewhere, the influence of microstructures on lubrication processes in contact for hard and soft pairs is indicated, which can be used to design further measurements.
Energy utilization of biomass through wet fermentation
Odehnal, Lukáš ; Linda, Jakub (referee) ; Kalivodová, Markéta (advisor)
The final thesis focuses on the energy utilization of biomass and the description and calculation of the energy balance of a specific biogas plant, Valeč near Hrotovice. The text is divided into five blocks, in the first block the sources of biomass and its subsequent energy use are discussed. The second part covers processes and technologies using wet fermentation. The third chapter describes a specific biogas plant. The fourth part calculates the balance of electricity and heat production, and the last chapter of the thesis summarizes the calculated values and compares the technology used with other possible sources.
Elaboration of examples for teaching visualizations in Inventor
Hejl, Vojtěch ; Odehnal, Lukáš (referee) ; Košťál, David (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis describes functions of Autodesk Inventor that deal with visualizations and the creation of excersises for students on this topic. For this purpose were created three powerpoint presentations describing the functions of this program concerning visualizations and methods of creating visualizations of objests. These excersises are comprised of a powerpoint presentation, model and textures. The ability to use visualization tools of Inventor is aplicable in marketing or design. It enables the creation of visualizations greatly resembling real life objects without the need to create these objects beforehand.
Český fousek v současné myslivecké praxi
Odehnal, Lukáš
Odehnal L.: Czech Pointer in the current hunting practices, Brno 2014 This bachelor thesis deals with the Czech national breed Czech Pointer. The work describes the historical development, characteristics of the breed, hunting fitness and problems of breeding in the Czech Republic. There are also evaluated grants spent by the state on the breeding and the participation of the Czech Pointer on top canine events of the Czech Republic. In the Appendix to this work is a complete database of breeding individuals at the end of year 2013.
