Lightweight plasters of modified composition for final surface treatment of ETICS
Neubauerová, Alena ; Ševčík, Milan (referee) ; Bydžovský, Jiří (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the verification of the parameters of thin lightweight mineral plasters with modified composition. As alternative raw materials are used expanded perlite Vapex, calcined diatomite Celite and powder waste glass of fluorescent lamps. In the theoretical part is summarized knowledge from completed studies dealing with the issue of compensation porous filler component. In the experimental part is tested consistency of fresh mixture, physical-mechanical, sorption and thermal insulating characteristics. It is compared the appearance of the surface and summarized the results of measuring.
Possibilities of Cellular Concrete Utility Properties Improvement for Low-Energy Buildings
Neubauerová, Alena ; Ing.Oldřich Dobrý, CSc. (referee) ; Kulísek, Karel (advisor)
Aerated concrete is a modern construction material with excellent thermal – insulation properties with possibility of a fast construction of the building. Moreover we can use secondary raw materials such as fly ash and gypsum during production of aerated concrete, so we save our environment. At present we are trying to save funds for heating the house, so we are looking for suitables materials to cover the requirements for low energy housing. But low – energy buildings wouldn´t be enough for the future. It´s possible now to build passive houses and zero houses, that´s why advances are necessary in improvement of utility properties of building materials, aerated concrete in our case.
Analysis of stylistic features in English and Czech radio debates
Neubauerová, Alena ; Dušková, Libuše (advisor) ; Malá, Markéta (referee)
This MA thesis focuses on the stylistically marked features that occur in an English radio debate called Any Questions? aired by BBC - Radio 4 and a Czech radio debate called Speciál Martina Veselovského aired on Český rozhlas 1 - Radiožurnál. Stylistically marked features are restricted to certain kinds of social context: in the case of this thesis, it is two radio debates broadcast by public service media. Those linguistics features that are considered stylistically marked in the two debates are identified on the morphological, syntactical and lexical level, and classified into categories based upon a view of their functions. Subsequently, they are described as standard or nonstandard. Some of the features found are shared by both debates. However, some are, due to the different language systems concerned, symptomatic of only one of the languages. The difference between the English and the Czech stylistically marked features is also revealed as to the frequency of their occurrence. Finally, the conclusions about the level of informality of the two debates are drawn.

Any questions? a bbc radio 4 debate programme (analysis focussed on the specific fearures of the broacast debate as a journalistic genre)
Neubauerová, Alena ; Maršík, Josef (advisor) ; Moravec, Václav (referee)
This BA thesis is concerned with the analysis of Any Questions?, a BBC Radio 4 programme. Its goal is to describe the dialogue genres that are used in this radio broadcasted public debate, and also to describe the way in which these genres fulfil their communicative function. The theoretical part of this thesis describes the above-mentioned genres as they are regarded in the context of Czech journalism. (Although the literature used for references is in both Czech and English, the terminology is always adjusted to suit the Czech journalistic environment.) This part also describes BBC as a public service medium, since the environment in which the programme is produced significantly influences its contents. Finally, this part describes the production of the programme as such: it deals with the selection of guests and locations of the programme, and also with the role of the presenter of the discussion and with the extent to which the programme is successful regarding the communication with the audience. (This part is, among others, based on the electronic correspondence with one of the producers of the programme). The practical part of the thesis then presents one concrete episode of the given programme, which is further analysed from the linguistic point of view. The thesis also presents a...
Adjectives in postposition: identification and the meaning of the noun phrase
Neubauerová, Alena ; Šaldová, Pavlína (advisor) ; Malá, Markéta (referee)
In the noun phrases, adjectives can be placed either before the noun (prepositively) or after the noun (postpositively). This thesis is concerned with the description of postponed adjectives and with the reasons for postposition. These reasons can be grammatical, semantic, or semantico-grammatical (for example, the phrase contains another adjective in a superlative degree, or the adjective has different meanings regarding its position in the phrase). The grammars used for this thesis list these reasons and divide them into categories that are all described in the theoretical part of this thesis. The use of postponed adjectives in practice is demonstrated using examples excerpted from the British National Corpus which were assigned into categories based on semantic and syntactic criteria. Those categories listed in the theoretical part of this thesis are supplemented by those established to describe the actual examples from the Corpus. Thirty adjectives were analyzed in detail and illustrate, e.g., cases of semantic difference between pre and post-head adjectives, terminological units or cases where the position is variable. From all these examples, the conclusions about the practical use of postposition are drawn.
