Smart City Services in Brno - Map of Travel Times
Strych, Tomáš ; Najman, Pavel (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis is to provide users with a web application through which they can obtain, based on the current timetable, graphical information on the estimated time availability of urban and intercity traffic in the South Moravian Region. The automation of data processing and publishing to the server has been solved in the comprehensive ArcGIS geographic information system. Graphical display of data, on a web page, is resolved on the client side, using JavaScript. The created solution provides the user with graphics information about the time availability from a predetermined location in South Moravia. Based on the results of this work, another way of analyzing timetables has been created. This analyze can lead to improved timetables.
Projected User Interface - Card Game
Brestič, Tomáš ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Najman, Pavel (advisor)
Current effort to make human-computer interaction more intuitive leads to utilization of gestures replacing the need to use a conventional input device. At the same time there is a tendency to integrate the output into the physical world around the user and therefore to minimize any artificial means of interaction in general. The aim of this thesis is to implement a card game that can be controlled on the basis of the principles described above. Fundamental issues are human motion tracking, hand detection and gesture recognition. The application uses depth data from the second generation of Kinect sensor, analytical description of gestures and allows up to four players to play the game. Its graphics are projected on the table to maximize compliance with the real situation.
Theremin Simulation Using Leap Motion
Staurovský, Maroš ; Zahrádka, Jiří (referee) ; Najman, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is the creation and implementation of application that simulates playing the theremin by using Leap Motion sensor and MIDI protocol. This sensor allows us to detect movement of hands and recognition of gestures in the monitored area. This is  used in the aplication to simulate the same principle that is used for playing theremin. Unlike this instrument we are able to produce sound of different instruments which is accomplished by using MIDI. The Leap Motion sensor and MIDI protocol are detailed in the theoretical part of the thesis.
Frameless Rendering
Najman, Pavel ; Pečiva, Jan (referee) ; Havel, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create a simple raytracer with IPP library, which will use the frameless rendering technique. The first part of this work focuses on the raytracing method. The next part analyzes the frameless rendering technique and its adaptive version with focus on adaptive sampling. Third part describes the IPP library and implementation of a simple raytracer using this library. The last part evaluates the speed and rendering quality of the implemented system.
Game Interface with Data Projector and Leap Motion
Tomeček, Adam ; Najman, Pavel (referee) ; Zahrádka, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with creating of game interface for projector and palm motion sensor Leap Motion. It describes principles of projection mapping on objects and different types of projection mapping and its use. Practical part deals with designing game interface for Leap Motion and projector and designing of demonstration games. It also describes the procedure of testing created game interface and games programmatically and with users.
Image Processing in Embedded Systems
Frank, Igor ; Nosko, Svetozár (referee) ; Najman, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with creation of unusual input device based on image processing. More specifically, it's input device where camera captures keys printed on paper. Those keys are then used by user to control multimedia applications. The goal of this thesis was not only creation of such device, but also gaining new knowledge about image processing. The whole work is then devoted to analysis of existing solutions, basic theory, design and device implementation itself.
Strategic Game on Interactive Table
Jiruška, Adam ; Najman, Pavel (referee) ; Kapinus, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this work is to implement strategic board game on an interactive table. This table is ARTable, a platform which is developed at the Faculty of Information Technology, BUT. Here the principle of combination of the projected user interface and the touch layer on the table is used. The created app allows to play slightly modified version of the wellknown game Settlers of Catan for up to four players, including the ability to edit and create new maps.
Mobile Application - Barrier-Less Trajectories in City Centre
Podola, Adam ; Najman, Pavel (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis describes the fundamentals of the Android framework for the future development of mobile applications. The reader will be introduced to existing applications for the support of physically disabled people. It will also describe the design and implementation of a new mobile application, displaying information on selected buildings and giving the possibility of marking obstacles in the public space near the city centre of Brno. Finally, the principle of the chosen procedure of finding potentially barrier-free routes, during which the state of the obstacle database is taken into account, will be explained.
3D Drawing Using Leap Motion
Semerák, Jakub ; Zahrádka, Jiří (referee) ; Najman, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of this thesis was to create a simple 3D drawing application that uses Leap Motion controller. This application was designed to test gesture-based interaction versus keyboard controls. It was found that gesture-based interaction is not as effective as interaction combined with keyboard. However, when users interact with the application for a prolonged period of time, the noticeable acceleration of gesture-based interaction could be observed.
User Interface with Mobile Device and Camera
Jelínek, Dalibor ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Najman, Pavel (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis deals with development of user interface which will allow to control mobile device using camera and without use of hands. Thesis includes research on existing non-contact user interface sollutions and relevat computer vision techlologies. The output of the practical part is Android application which serves as a web browser that can be controlled exclusively by facial movements and voice.
