Sociology of knowledge and its impact on a society
Havel, Tomáš ; Kosek, Jan (referee) ; Mucha, Ivan (advisor)
51 Sociology of Knowledge and Its Influence upon the Society SUMMARY The law, representing one of the specific systems of the society, can be viewed on different levels. These levels namely include the normative, axiological and legal- sociological level. Within the context of social sciences we examine the law as social phenomenon acting upon the society. Through mythology, and primarily through various forms of legal communication, this influence constitutes the legal awareness that is subsequently influenced by biogenic, psychogenic and social factors. In the broadest sense, the notion of knowledge denotes a set of information or concepts of certain facts. The knowledge encompasses not only theoretical knowledge but also practical techniques and skills, i.e. ways by which theoretical knowledge becomes a part of practice. The starting point of the present work is the view of the society through the eyes of the sociology of knowledge. Between the systems of knowledge, language and law, there exists a connection that develops in history, within the society differentiated into segments, as well as vertically and horizontally. In the modern (industrial) period, the field of social sciences is viewed through the systems theories that are deeply rooted in natural sciences, namely biology. At present we regard...
The influence of mobility on cultural diversity in unified Europe
Lekešová, Lucie ; Mucha, Ivan (advisor)
This dissertation thesis focuses on the European dimension of cultural diversity, migration, national and European identity, and the knowledge of languages. Languages help facilitating dialogue between cultures according to the strategic goals of the European Union (EU). It is continually difficult for European countries to find the rules of peaceful coexistence between the European and non-European cultures, ethnical groups and religions. In conclusion, a multicultural environment is formed. The EU is based on "unity in diversity", i.e. diversity of cultures, customs, as well as languages. The EU does not aim to erase the differences among individual states, but to support, preserve and honour them through its community programmes, political provisions and recommendations. This thesis is divided into two parts. The first one is the theoretical basis, which introduces the main terms in the area of cultural diversity, and national and European identity. This section also describes the concepts and strategies of the EU, which are then analyzed in the second portion, the empirical part. The chapter in the theoretical part focuses on cultural diversity while introducing cultural policies of the EU and its new strategy for culture in in the globalized world. Cultural diversity is a common denominator for...
Motion Pictures - Illustration of Thinking Process
Horáková, Zuzana ; Bystřický, Jiří (advisor) ; Mucha, Ivan (referee)
In my thesis Motion Pictures - Illustration of Thinking Process I work with a presumption that art is able to illustrate thinking. Thinking, like continual unstoppable process, can be "captured" in one fixed point or cross-section and this create a possibility how to describe thinking and how to get closer to it. By the film we can show the thinking processes that are mostly very difficult to capture, and the changes that thinking and film itself went through in last decades - first off the digital revolution.

Spectator violence commited during football matches is felt very inconsistently in the world. There are particularities of football violence in every country and each of them solves this problem in a different way, in its cultural and traditional context although the principle is the same - the elimination of dangerous fan groups. Game, sport, football and the spectatorship have deep fundamentals in cultural and social rootage of human existence. Any play is natural part of life. The Football violence is social adverse behaviour and current science wants to solve its causes. Our opinion is that the violence factors in football inhere in context of social life. In connexion with globalization effects the Czech football violence has the basic features like other countries where football is popular.
The Integrated Communication Model Paradigm
Sládeček, Peter ; Mucha, Ivan (advisor) ; Trampota, Tomáš (referee)
Summarizing the thesis in a brief manner demands reduction of the thoughts and concepts presented in it. Therefore, the main aim of this summary is to relate the terminology we had to establish in our theoretical research of communication from a system-theory perspective. We have built our approach in three main directions: 1. Dynamical system theory with its regards to autopoiesis, enthropy and bifurcations. 2. Second-order cybernetics, where we have adopted the concept of mutual influence between object and subject in research - meta-cybernetics. 3. Adressing social theories presented by Niklas Luhmann, Ulrich Beck, Anthony Giddens, Zygmunt Bauman and few others. The central question of our project is whether the application of the system approach to communication studies could lead to a paradigm. During the period of our MA degree programme, we encountered many attempts to connect communication models into one working mechanism. However, even with its terminology adjusted to the goal, media and communication science preserved a notion of structuralism or succeeded to incorporate system theory in just one field of interest (depending on authors' qualifications), but denying wider associations. One school of communication research that has reached a considerable level of integration is that of Cultural...
