The view from outside - the February revolution 1948 in the novels of Zdeněk Němeček, Egon Hostovský and Lubor Zink

In her work, the author compares three novels of the exile writers, Egon Hostovský, Lubor Zink and Zdeněk Němeček. The novels Missing, February and the story Shadow bring together the theme of the February revolution in Czechoslovakia in 1948. The author grapple with three main topics, which appear in all three novels: binary worlds and dualism, betrayed word and image of the history. In this work these newfound motives are put into the context with the general principles of literature in exile.

Restoration and conservation of synthetic binding elements of modern library collection

Cílem daného památkového postupu je přiblížení problematiky péče o knižní vazby obsahující syntetické materiály. Památkový postup reprezentuje výsledky vývoje a ověření metodik a pracovních postupů konzervace a restaurování syntetických materiálů v novodobém knihovním fondu. Dále se památkový postup zaměřuje na popis restaurátorských postupů, k nimž lze přistoupit při výskytu popsaných poškození. Rovněž jsou zde uvedeny doporučené podmínky uložení vazeb se syntetickými prvky a podmínky vystavování vazeb tohoto typu.

Methodology of plastic bookbindings survey in the modern library collection

Cílem předložené metodiky je návodný postup, jak pomocí uvedených technik a metod získat informaci o složení a charakteru syntetických materiálů ve fondu, identifikovat druh materiálu a na základě informací z dalších zdrojů získat přehled o rizicích ovlivňující dobrý fyzický stav fondu. Získané informace umožní kvalifikovaně rozhodnout o způsobu další péče o tyto sbírky. Představená metodika je zaměřena na identifikaci druhů plastů vjemovou i instrumentální, která je nezbytná k eliminaci negativních důsledků degradace plastů v knižní vazbě.

Title: Case study of a Physiotherapeutic Treatment of a Patient with Diagnosis of Unilateral Above - Knee Amputation Aim: The aim of the thesis is to summarize theoretical knowledge about amputations and their rehabilitation and to process a case study of a patient with the diagnosis of unilateral above - knee amputation. Method: The general part of the thesis deals with the issue of amputation of the lower limb and its prosthetic possibilities. It contains summary of fundamental information needed to understand the problematics, basics of prosthetics and usual rehabilitation process. The special part consists of a complete case study of the patient with a diagnosis of unilateral transfemoral amputation. The case study was developed within the study practice at the Malvazinky Rehabilitation Clinic. Results: The physiotherapeutic treatment described in the special part of the study contributed to the improvement of patient's condition. Trend of zombification in contemporarymovie and serial production - audience analysis

The dissertation is titled "The trend of zombification in a current film and series production - audience-based research" and is aimed at explaining why people seek zombie themed series and movies. In the theoretical part, the author introduces the concept of a zombie in terms of its dominant position within the popular culture. With the historical background and the theoretical frame of the topic, the results of the audience research, that was focused mainly on the fans of a zombie genre, will be presented. By comparison of the media product discourse and the public discourse, the analysis reve als the hypothesis describing the relationship between the audience and the media content with a zombie theme. The research is based on a qualitative method of grounded theory. The methods of semi-structured interview and participant observation were used to collect the data.
