The Effectiveness of Negotiation in the Climate Change Regime - Role of the European Union, the USA and China

This thesis addresses the topic of the effectiveness of negotiation in the climate change regime, which is examined in connection with leadership theory. The goal of this thesis is to find out, if selected actors behaved as leaders during climate change conferences and if their behavior contributed to the effectiveness of negotiation in the climate change regime. Effectiveness of negotiation is examined at three selected climate change conferences, more specifically at the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference (2009), Cancún Climate Change Conference (2010) and Paris Climate Change Conference (2015). The leadership role is examined at above mentioned conferences with connection to the European Union, the USA and China. The research of leadership is based on the congruence method, which is based on examination of observable predictions established from theory. This thesis reached the conclusion, that the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference was not effective, on the contrary the Climate Change Conferences in Cancún and Paris were assessed as effective. South China Sea conflict - case of Spratly and Paracel islands

The bachelor thesis "Spratly and Paracel Islands Dispute in the South China Sea" explores the conflict between Brunei, China, Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan and Vietnam. The main task of the bachelor thesis is to present each party of the conflict, nature of their claims on the Spratly and Paracel Islands and the development of relations between them. The attention is given to the United States of America, Japan and ASEAN too. They do not have any claim on the islands but they influence the situation in the region. To better understanding legal and theoretical aspects of the conflict are explained. It involves theory of the conflict and security, United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea and Declaration on the South China Sea. The conflict itself is described since the end of the Second World War to the present, the stress is put on the present situation and causes of the tension in the region.

The healthy and right food plays a very important role in everybody's life. It works as a prevention of many diseases of civilization. Good nutrition can contribute to improve life quality. It gives a longer life and we stay more healthy. The most important thing in forming healthy eating habits is our own family. The next important factor is a school where children spend a lot of time. They create their own views and habits there. There are usually canteens at schools which offer some food to pupils. This dissertation is focussed on basic nutrients, education for a healthy lifestyle and the eating habits of pupils from 6 to 16 years at basic schools. I will also look into which food is preferred by pupils - healthy or unhealthy -their eating habits and the ways of their feeding. The aim of my dissertation is to find and evaluate eating habits of children of younger and older school age and detect if these children are interested in what they eat and if we can influence them by edification. In the practical part of my work I'd like to find out through a questionnaire what children at basic school know about healthy nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. Foreign Nationals' Use of the Electoral Law in the Local Elections in Czech Republic

Diploma thesis sets itself a task to evaluate the using of voting right by foreign nationals in local elections in the Czech Republic. The thesis shows the approach of other member states of European Union to the voting right of foreign nationals in local elections, the legislative framework and the legal position of foreign nationals in the Czech Republic. The centre point of the thesis lies in the real experience of the foreign nationals and mayors or workers of municipal authorities with voting right in the local elections. Information gained during the research allows to study the practice of voting right. During the research there were discovered reasons why the foreign nationals participate or not in local elections. There were explained opinions of foreign nationals about the quality of information of their possibility to participate in local elections and about the conditions of voting right declared by state. Opinions and ideas of foreign nationals are compared with the opinions and experience of mayors or workers of municipal authorities and state institutions.
Trh práce EU, podpora rozvoje lidských zdrojů ze strukturálních fondů v ČR

Diplomová práce je věnována problematice trhu práce Evropské unie a možnostem podpory lidských zdrojů ze strukturálních fondů v České republice. Nejprve je zmapován vývoj politiky zaměstnanosti EU a aktuální situace na trhu práce v členských zemích. Zdůrazněna je nutnost flexibilizace evropského pracovního trhu a vysvětlen relativně nový princip ?flexicurity?. Dále je charakterizována politika soudržnosti v EU, její principy, cíle a realizace v České republice. Závěrečná část je věnována programům Evropského sociálního fondu v období 2004 ? 2006 a 2007 ? 2013, zaměřeným na oblast lidských zdrojů.
