Predispositions to tennis success Goals of the work: The goal of this piece of work is to identify, analyze and assess specific abilities, skills and other preconditions, which are necessary for reaching the top level in the game of tennis. The goal is to create certain competency profile of a successful top level tennis player. Methods of the work: Two different methods of research were used. The first method was exploration of the expert literature on given topic to identify and systematize the information concerning abilities, skills and personal qualities of successful top tennis players. The second method was electronic questioning executed on the selective sample of Czech tennis experts and tennis players. This was used for completing a comprehensive idea of a successful player's competency profile. Outcome of the work: The outcome of this work is a comprehensive aggregate of characteristics, which represent necessary requirements on desirable qualities of a successful tennis player. International sports law with emphasis on issue of doping in sports Key words: international sports law, doping, WADA The aim of this thesis is to describe environment and character of sports law on the one hand and to thoroughly analyse the doping issue in sports as one of highly topical fields of sports law on the other hand. After a general introduction, the second chapter describes problems of definition of the term 'sports' itself and subsequently the relation between sports and law as two distinct phenomena with norms of different nature. Terminological suitability of usage of term 'sports law' commonly used for relation between sports and law is also examined. The third chapter is already focused on international sports, since the international character is a typical attribute of sports law. Crucial characteristics determining the international character of sports law, as the pyramid structure of sports organizations, are explained. The following chapter concerns in more detail international organizations and treaties in the field of sports and their character with respect to public international law. European regulation of crime victims' rights Abstract The thesis deals with regulation of crime victims' rights at the level of the European Union and the Council of Europe. It aims to summarize its bases, current legal regulation as well as its possible development in the near future, and endeavours to assess the level to which the existing secondary EU law reflects the human-rights basis of the victims' rights. The first part of the thesis introduces human-rights basis of the victims' rights, represented by the Convention, the Charter and related case-law of the ECtHR and CJEU, which guarantees access to justice, thus right to an effective remedy and right to a fair trial, particularly to victims of violent crime. Victims also have the right to protection from repeat victimization and must not be discriminated. Next parts of the thesis analyze current legal regulation of the Council of Europe, where Convention on Compensation is a crucial binding tool, and of the European Union, where relatively developed regulation of victims' rights exists in form of directives providing for minimal rules of harmonization.
