Economic aspects of system integration Abstract This thesis sets out to inform its readers about the importance of economic and legal background of system integration as well as the mutual interaction of legal and economic framework of system integration. The system integration is a comprehensive way to ensure the strategic support of key business processes in order to increase the competitiveness of the organization. It happens through the unification of computer resources to meet the needs of all relevant processes in the organization. Improvement of these processes leads to the creation of value added from the integrated systems that makes from organization an economically efficient unit. First, the work deals with the general characteristics of system integration. To approach the issue of practice are mentioned the most important projects carried out system integration in the Czech Republic in the field of public administration. Based on this description of system integration are described specific benefits of integration. Furthermore, the work deals with analyzing the impact of the legal framework of system integration on its economic aspects. Real Estates Legal Due Diligence

- 1 - SUMMARY The parties to the real estates transactions need to have sufficient warranties that they will obtain the valid ownership title to the real estates property. The legal due diligence (or title due diligence) is the way to confirm the existence of these warranties (or confirms that these warranties are not present). The objective of due diligence for example for the buyer is to confirm that there is no legal issue concerning the ownership title to the property. Most of the real estates in the Czech Republic is registered with the Land Register. The Land Register maintains a database of plots of land, certain constructions (described by a law) and residential and non-residential units in the Czech Republic. The entry into the Land Register is, in practice, generally regarded as a proof of ownership title. Until 1993, it was possible to effectively transfer ownership title to real estate without recording the appropriate entry in the Land Register. As a result, register entries made prior to 1993 cannot be relied upon alone to demonstrate the proof of ownership. Elektronizace justice

The thesis analyzes the e-Justice projects in the Czech Republic. It describes possibilities of application of individual projects, evaluates the status of their development and their potential future evolution. The thesis also analyzes the economic aspects of selected projects as well as discusses the technological aspects of some technologically advanced projects. On the basis of the analysis of present situation and description of e-Justice issues the contribution of this process for the Czech judiciary system as well as the public government or private persons will be described. The main contribution of this thesis is to objectively evaluate the effects of judiciary digitization for the Czech public administration information systems and related areas.

Informační systémy veřejné správy (Význam směrnice INSPIRE pro české informační systémy veřejné správy)

Práce si vytyčuje za cíl informovat čtenáře o významu a dosahu implementace směrnice INSPIRE (Infrastruktura pro prostorové informace v Evropském společenství). Jejím účelem je vytvořit legislativní rámec pro vybudování evropské infrastruktury prostorových informací. Na základě analýzy současné situace a vymezení problémů infrastruktury prostorových informací budou posouzeny přínosy směrnice INSPIRE pro české informační systémy veřejné správy, geografické informační systémy a geoinformatiku. Nejprve se zaměřím na obecnou charakteristiku směrnice INSPIRE, dále se budu zabývat geografickými informačními systémy a dalšími směrnicí dotčenými oblastmi a blíže se pak budu věnovat makroekonomickým a mikroekonomickým dopadům směrnice. Hlavní přínos práce spočívá v objektivním zhodnocení důsledků implementace směrnice pro české informační systémy veřejné správy a příbuzné oblasti.
