Andrea Kohútová Title: Quality of life in patients hospitalized for severe Covid-19 Backgound: In 2021-2022, the world faced a challenge of the pandemic of a viral disease named Covid-19, caused by the SARS-CoV2 virus. This disease had a severe course with long-term consequences in many patients. The Covid-19 pandemic has significantly affected and continues to affect the quality of life of the entire population. Objectives: The main objective of this study is to examine the impact of Covid-19 on the quality of life of patients hospitalized in an ICU, all of that evaluated during hospitalization with a follow-up after six months. Methods: The chosen method was a survey using the SF-36 questionnaire to evaluate the effect of Covid-19 on quality of life in patients hospitalized in the Covid ICU of the Vinohrady University Hospital, first during hospitalization and then in a follow-up 6 months later.. The questionnaire was filled out by 15 patients, chosen based on availability criteria, included 8 male and 7 female, all aged 20-90. Results: The results showed the negative impact of the severe course of the Covid-19 disease on almost all aspects of the quality of life. Author: Andrea Kohútová Title: A case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment Concerning a Patient with Transfemoral Amputation Objectives: The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to create a case study of physiotherapy treatment concerning a patient with transfemoral amputation and to summarize the theoretical knowledge base corresponding with this diagnosis, its causes and possibilities of rehabilitation treatment. Methods: This bachelor thesis is split into two parts, a theoretical one and a practical one. The main focus of the theoretical part is to establish a brief summary of the anatomy and kinesiology of the lower limb, the theoretical information about amputation and their etiology, the operation techniques and after-surgery complications. It also contains some general findings about lower limb ischemic disease. The first part focuses on the problematics concerning orthopedic prosthetics, subsequent rehabilitation care and physiotherapeutic methods. The second part contains a detailed case study of physiotherapy treatment concerning a patient with transfemoral amputation.
