Chmelíček, Petr ; Janda, Marcel (referee) ; Kuchyňková, Hana (advisor)
Aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to demonstrate facilities of computer aided design on practical tasks. First part contains description of Autodesk Inventor, which is one of the most important modern parametric CAD systems. There is described the basics of modeling, drawing creating and analysis of design. Second part is oriented on demonstration of capabilities of Ansys Workbench, which is important system for solution of engineering problems by the finite element method. Also there is description of user interface of Ansys, analysis of electromagnetic field in asynchronous motor and description of one phase asynchronous motor. Task of last part is to create animated presentation of asynchronous motor with outer rotor in Inventor studio.
Braking of an induction machine
Mareček, Šimon ; Janda, Marcel (referee) ; Mach, Martin (advisor)
The work is focused on the braking of an induction engine and the risks associated with it. In the first part, there are readers acquainted with the technical parameters of the induction engine, which is used for simulations. The second part focuses on the simulation program Ansys Maxwell and the finite element method. In the third part, there are readers introduced to a general description of the induction machine. The fourth part consists of countercurrent braking. The penultimate part is devoted to dynamic braking. The last part contains a brief introduction to generator braking. The chapters focused on braking are supplemented by simulated waveforms.
Utilization of adaptive CAD systems at virtual model creation of electrical motors
Sedláčková, Petra ; Janda, Marcel (referee) ; Kuchyňková, Hana (advisor)
Thermal analysis of electric machine is one of the key steps in design procedure. Traditionally, thermal calculations are done by analytical method, mostly based on equivalent electrical circuit, where thermal quantities are replaced by equivalent electrical quantities. These methods employ so-called electro thermal analogy. Different approach is to use Finite Element Method, which is the main goal of this thesis. First part of the thesis is devoted to description of CAD system Autodesk Inventor, which is modern parametric CAD for modelling of virtual prototypes. This system is then used for creation of three dimensional model of brushless DC machine. Second part is focused on thermal calculations in Ansys Workbench environment. Model of brushless DC machine created in Inventor is transferred into Ansys Workbench and thermal analysis is carried out.
Modeling of flow on synchronous generator
Chlup, Jaroslav ; Skalka, Miroslav (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
This project deals with simulation´s possibilities of air flow in electric machines. A finite element method is the final element technique. Aim of this project is conversion universal formula for calculation friction dissipation factor. For its location is necessary to create 27 simulations according to the 2. plan order. Usage programme MATLAB for processing results obtain requisite algorithm for calculation friction dissipation factor.

Maňák, Radim ; Janda, Marcel (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
Increasing demands onto active safety in service and passengers´s safety. This things requiring progression in technologies. In the first place electronic components were reached the greatest prosperity and improvement. Currently price electronic equipment is approximating to half price in be half car. The most important ones of safety is best quality and trouble-free operation. This project will be described splitting active safety and system integration to the unit system.

Klaner, Pavel ; Vítek, Ondřej (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis is dealing with finite element method and using it in thermal simulations by Ansys Workbench.
Methods of analysis of vibration signals
Russ, David ; Hájek, Vítězslav (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
The main target of this master’s thesis is to focus on methods of analysis of vibration signals in electric machines. To get know the basic principles of the diagnostics methods, is important to clarify origin of the vibration signals and the impact they have. The selected methods were tested practically by measurement on electric machines. Measured data were processed in program LabVIEW. In this thesis were created programs which actually can be aplicated for complete vibrodiagnostics of electric machines in particular induction motors. The basic evaluation of vibration are the RMS value, Crest factor, time course and power spectrum. Results of this thesis are used to demonstrate how quickly and effectively can be vibration signals from electric machines evaluated.
Diagnostics of rotating electric machines
Soukup, Patrik ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
The thesis Diagnostics of rotating electric machines deals with the theory of diagnostics of rotating machines, focusing especially on the diagnosis of asynchronous motors of high power. Due to the importance of maintaining the trouble-free condition of these machines with regard to serviceability, the importance of their diagnosis is growing. Due to inappropriate working conditions or for many other reasons, different types of malfunctions may occur in the machine. The list and the way of occurrence of possible failures are included and explained in this thesis. With the growing age of the machine, it is important to check the insulation status through insulation testing. These tests are performed in the practical part of the thesis and the results are presented. In the case of asynchronous machines, each anomaly leaves a signature in the form of an electrical, magnetic or vibrational signal. These signals are analyzed and evaluated using a specific measuring equipment with the intention of deciding on the current state of the machine. Motor current signature analysis (MCSA) is considered to be the main diagnostic method of asynchronous machines in this thesis. This method is described in detail in this paper and is being applied in electrical engineering.
Calculation of the distribution of temperature field of induction machine
Suk, Jiří ; Dostál, Lukáš (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
The issue of this bachelor’s thesis is calculation of the distribution of temperature field of induction machine. There is used three different methods of calculating which are compared in the conclusion. First method is lab measuring of surface temperature on different spots on the machine while unloaded without active cooling. Temperature is measured on four spots using different devices. Another way how to calculate temperature field is computer simulation in ANSYS Workbench using finite elements method. In this method is necessary to create real-based model of motor in CAD system. In this case Autodesk Inventor 2015 was used. Last method was simplified analytics calculation using heat circuit of the stator part. Last but not least is comparison of all used methods, results and accuracy of calculation.
Measurement of induction machines
Sporni, Peter ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
This work dissert about problematics of induction engines, which are the most used types of electrical drives used in present time. At the beginning we will explain their construction and its influence to the characteristics of the engine and possibilities of their regulation. In the next part we will describe some basic types of measurments implemented on these engines. To verify the theory which was described in this work we will discuss measurments realized on concrete types of engines. At the end we will calculate the main dimensions for one of the measured engine.
