Epiphany in the hellenistic world and in relation to the New Testament

The thesis deals with the description and understanding of the functioning of epiphany in Hellenism and the New Testament to determine the relationship to Hellenistic epiphany. The concept of epiphany and subsequent findings will be thoroughly analyzed and they will be used to redefine the term epiphany as suitable for research and analytical purposes. The thesis attempts to answer the question, for what purposes epiphany served, which conveys and what discourses occupied a place in the Hellenistic and New Testament understanding of the world. The submitted thesis attempts to outline the relationship between epiphany and magic, cult, mysterious religions, religious experience, diviners, Emperor and other major components of the Hellenistic world. The aim is to introduce the epiphany as a multifaceted, multi-functional concept, whose analysis terminating in the religious culture will describe much of self-understanding of the culture.
History, Conception and Perception of Religious Space in Roman Imperial Age and Influence of Topographic Metaphors on its Interpretation

Tato práce se zabývá vlivem metafor na interpretaci náboženského prostoru v římském impériu. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. V první kapitole je přestaven hlavní argument práce. Práce považuje metafory za důležitou a užitečnou část vědeckého výzkumu. Teoretické zakotvení poskytuje prostorový obrat. První kapitola též vymezuje náboženský prostor. Tématem druhé kapitoly je metaforické ztotožnění římského impéria s rizikovou společností a světovým systémem. V kapitole je ukázáno, jak tyto metafory ovlivňují badatelské konstrukce náboženského života. Metafora centra a periferie je kritizována za nereálnou reprezentaci imperiální náboženské geopolitiky. Je navršen odlišný strukturální pohled na centrum a periferii v římském náboženství Třetí kapitola prozkoumává poslední metaforu globalizace aplikovanou na římské impérium. Římské impérium je přirovnáno k síťové společnosti. V rámci této metafory je zkoumána role náboženského prostoru v komunikaci aktérů. Kapitola odhaluje principy a logiku, na kterých byla imperiální síťová komunikační společnost vystavěna. Zkoumán je i imperiální diskurz, jehož sdílené užití umožňovalo komunikovat v imperiální síti a navazovat vztahy. The correspondence of Václav Havel

The thesis prepares for publishing letters, which Václav Havel sent to people, who were at least one generation older: Václav Černý, Josef Hiršal, Vladimír Holan, Jiří Kolář, Jindřich Chalupecký, Jaroslav Seifert and Josef Šafařík. Havel might have considered or have indeed considered them his teachers, be it for a certain period or in a certain area. The thesis also contains a possible book introduction, in which the author describes the artistic youth and ripening of Václav Havel and identifies ties, which connect Václav Havel with the culture of the First Republic.
The Analysis of Manager´s Directing Style in Administration

This Diploma work characterizes managerial styles of the managers in public administration. It is divided into two structure parts. In a theoretic level, the work introduces and describes themes such as management, manager, managerial positions, managerial functions, management styles, communications, motivation, delegation and public administration. In the own part of Diploma work the knowledge from a theoretic part is applied to analyse the management style in public administration. The analysis was made by a controlled interview with chosen managers. From these controlled interviews the information was taken, from which was prepared a summary and a recommendation. In these interviews each manager evaluated his own manager style. On the basis of results from these interviews the manager style was classified to each manager. After that everything was commented and the recommendations were declared, how to practise the manager style to the best final labour effect.
Manager role in decision-making processes

The Thesis deals with the importance of decision-making roles in managerial work. The work consists of two main parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is formed by Literature searches and was drawn up after studying literature. The basic concepts were defined such as management, manager, management role or decision-making process and there was also described the issue of decision-making roles. In these diploma thesis are mentioned the fundamentals of management, managerial functions, roles, leadership styles and how to resolve problems. Literary research forms the theoretical basis for developing own parts. The practical part was prepared under the basis of the research, which was conducted in the selected subject. A questionnaire was prepared for the subordinate of a particular manager. The Questions clarified how subordinates perceived supervisors and their role in decision making. It was examined how often and what problems are solved with the boss, whether the manager creates a friendly environment in the workplace, or whether the manager is interested in the views of subordinates. Simultaneously the manager evaluated himself through a managerial GRID. The responses of both forms of research were compared and then used as the basis for preparation of an overall assessment and to create a conclusion. At the same time it was used as the basis for proposing measures to streamline management. The conclusion summarizes the lessons learned from the evaluation questionnaires and managerial GRID.
Evaluation of a management working style

This thesis with a focus on "Evaluation of manager's management style" deals with managing styles that have been defined by its typical characteristics and described in the expertise literature. Individual styles of the senior personnel on their subordinate colleagues affect each individual in the team and also the overall outcome and meeting the deadline for completion of tasks. In the first part of the thesis are described specific types of management styles and their characteristics, typology of managers, their role in management and its history. The second part of the thesis leverages on theoretical knowledge and it evaluates specific control style for the three executives in the company Folklore Garden s.r.o .. These executives manage the same team of subordinates and should reach approximately the same performance results. In the practical part there was used survey with specific questionnaire. This part includes comparison of results referring to the prevailing management style of particular manager in terms of superior and subordinate workers but also from the manager himself. The result is evaluated through a managerial grid model. In the last part of the thesis there are mentioned opportunities for further qualitative and personal development of individual managers to avoid constant personnel changes that are for the company both financially inefficient and time-consuming.
The proposal of strategic development of the business subject

This thesis deals with the proposal of strategic development of the business subject. The theoretical knowledge from scientific literature, lecture notes, courses and trusted websites orientated on strategic control and strategic marketing were used. First part of this thesis is dedicated to business development, the mission and goals of a company, strategic control and strategic marketing including strategic analysis. It also describes marketing goals and internet marketing forms. In the operative part, there is the characterisation of the business subject followed with proper study, which includes the analysis of inner and outer ambient of a company and financial analysis. At the end there are the summary of results found and the proposal of strategic development. with the use of internet marketing tools.
The proposal of the competency management model in the business entity

The thesis is focused on the personnel competencies and responsibilities issue of individual managers at various management levels in the manufacturing department of Robert Bosch Inc. in České Budějovice With the increasing number of manpower in the company an organization structure enlarges, which is followed by the growth of decision-making power and responsibilities. The human resources department as well as managers have to deal with delegation and distribution of each competence. The aim of the thesis is to propose the management of personal competence model of in a chosen entrepreneurial subject. The theoretical part is providing essential knowledge background, while the analytical chapter contains the characteristics of the selected business entity. And it is composed of a personal interview research. Each answer is processed in dedicated competency matrix with regarding evaluation. After that is suggested a model with optimal distribution of personal competences and recommendations within particular managers.
Project management and its application in business practice

The thesis aims to apply project management principles within the framework of the Railway Infrastructure Administration, state organization. Project management is one of the options for effective management of the company and its processes. For that purpose, it was necessary to study the management structure in Railway Infrastructure Administration which was subsequently analysed within the companys change management process for specific conditions. A partial objective hereof is a detailed analysis of an individual project implemented by the company with the use of project management tools. Based on the findings obtained, proposals on ways of improving the quality of future project management will be presented. The thesis presents an assessment of the situation with respect to the planned objectives, and proposed measures or solutions to improve the efficiency of the changes as suggested.
