Thesis abstract Name, Surname: Bc. Simona Homolková Supervisor: Mgr. Petra Dvořáková Thesis Title: Occupational Therapy Practise Guidelines Proposal in Children aged 3-18 years with Developmental Coordination Disorder Abstract: Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) is a neurodevelopmental condition with a prevalence of 6 % among children in the population. The cause of this condition is unknown, but there are known risk factors, such as very low birth weight or maternal exposure to drugs and alcohol during pregnancy. Symptoms include coordination difficulties, impaired motor learning and planning, executive function challenges, and overall mental health vulnerabilities. Each child exhibits different manifestations, and comprehensive care is required, provided by an interprofessional team, which includes occupational therapists. Occupational therapists should base their practice on high-quality care standards. Just like in medicine, there are currently global trends in occupational therapy towards developing Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG), which are still lacking, especially in the field of occupational therapy. CPGs primarily serve to improve and standardize care. The main goal of this work is to create a proposal for clinical practice guidelines in occupational therapy for developmental...
Notice of employment
Homolková, Simona ; Pichrt, Jan (advisor) ; Bělina, Miroslav (referee)
The Notice of Employment The main reason I have chosen this topic for my diploma thesis is that we have to deal with questions of labour law in our everyday lives. Generally speaking it is a common issue and I believe that it is therefore very important to understand it correctly. The notice of employment can bring serious economic and social consequences into the life of every employee and at the same time have an impact on his family members. On the other hand the employers should be able to terminate employment with such employees who are irresponsible or incompetent. Hence, the aim of this thesis is to analyse the regulation of the notice of termination of employment in the legal order of the Czech Republic, explain the essential principles of this regulation and point out various options of its interpretation. The paper is divided into seven chapters. First, there is a general outline of the examinated issue followed by chapters dealing with the historical evolution of legal regulation and the European Communities` regulation of the notice of employment. Further passages are in regards to a closer analysis of the notice of employment in general, notice given by the employee, notice given by the employer and their legal reasons. Relevant judicial decisions were also incorporated in each of...

BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Name, Surname: Simona Homolková Supervisor: PhDr. Petra Horsáková Title: Principles for Choosing an Electric Wheelchair for a Person with a Spinal Cord Injury from the Perspective of an Occupational Therapist Abstract: There are not enough sources in the Czech Republic which would summarize this topic, and therefore the main goal of this thesis is the description of the selection process when it comes to an electric wheelchair for people with a spinal cord lesion at the C4-C6 level from an occupational therapy point of view. A subsidiary aim of this thesis is a survey of the Czech market with electric wheelchairs, the selection of several different models suitable for tetraplegics, their assessment by an occupational therapist and recommendations to certain groups of clients. When it comes to the case studies, this theoretical information is applied in the clinical practice. Another partial goal represents a compilation of a form for occupational therapist in the Czech Republic which combines the acquired theoretical and practical knowledge, and further guides them through the process of selecting an electric wheelchair. The theoretical part presents the description of a spinal cord and spinal cord lesions. It addresses a spinal program and the role of occupational therapist in this...
