This theses describes aspects of memory traces processing, its applications in simulation and development of modular memory subsystem simulator based on memory traces. The simulator also supports use for educational purposes thanks to built-in visualization which can be used to track address accesses in memory subsystem hierarchy.

RedirFS - Application on Directory Merging

Main purpose of this work is to explore history and methods of directory unions, to make a proposal of design and finally to implement Linux kernel module that merges content of directories using RedirFS framework. We will discuss and solve related problems like namespace overlapping or underlying directories changes.
