Conrad Fischer. Life and Work of the Borovan Provost

The thesis is dedicated to the person and work of the Borovan provost Conrad Fischer (1631-1701). Based on study of the preserved sources in Czech and foreign archives is in the first part primarily reconstructed the life of Fischer, which took place during the turbulent years of the Thirty Years' War and in the times of the post-war development. The attention is focused on youth of Fischer, education, entry into the order of Augustinian Canons in Klosterneuburg and work in the Borovan Monastery, where he was elected provost in the year 1677. The second part of the thesis is dedicated to codicological analysis and content analysis of the work about history of the Borovan Monastery by Fischer, which he wrote at the end of his life and which original is in the present deposited in Trebon department of the State Regional Archives Trebon. The last part of the thesis includes the critical edition of this work, complemented by nominal and geographical and local registers.
The Possibilities of Influencing the Neuropathic Pain via Virtual Reality in Incomplete Spinal Cord Injury Patients.

Title: The Possibilities of Influencing the Neuropathic Pain via Virtual Reality in Incomplete Spinal Cord Injury Patients. Objectives: The goal of this thesis is to determine how a long-term exposure to virtual reality affects experiencing neuropathic pain in the case of patients with incomplete spinal cord lesions. Methods: The study included 8 probands (3 females and 5 males) aged from 30 to 64 years (average age 49.5 ± 12.0 years) from among the clients of a charitable trust "Centrum Paraple". At the entrance examination, the participants received a pair of VR BOX VR-X2 virtual reality headsets enabling viewing of two-dimensional (2D) videos in the three-dimensional (3D) format. Thereafter they were watching, in their home environment, varied therapeutic videos depicting "virtual walking" - human walking viewed from a first person perspective. After 3 months of therapeutic intervention, a follow-up examination was carried out to determine the effect of the therapy. The Neuropathy Pain Scale and the International Spinal Cord Injury Pain Basic Data Set were used to assess changes in the perception of neuropathic pain. Title: A Case Study of Physiotherapeutic Care of a Patient with Diagnosis of Common Peroneal Nerve Palsy. Objectives: A summary of existing theoretical findings concerning peripheral nerve palsies, especially common peroneal nerve palsy, and their application in practice of physiotherapeutic care of a patient with the stated diagnosis. Methods: The present bachelor thesis consists of two parts. The general part describes the anatomy of nervous system and the patophysiology of peripheral nervous system including the key processes of examination and the most important methods of physiotherapeutic care used for diagnosis and therapy of peripheral nerve palsies. A special part is dedicated to a case study of physiotherapeutic care of a patient with diagnosis of common peroneal nerve palsy and includes an entry kinesiological examination, a rehabilitation plan, a description of particular therapies and a final kinesiological examination having for purpose to assess the therapeutical effect. About the organization and functioning of the local administration in Lhenice at the turn of 18th and 19th century

The aim of this diploma thesis is to present the impact of the Josephine reforms of town-councils on the administrative development of a minor South Bohemian liege town. The work is divided into several chapters, which study the local administrative organization in Lhenice just before the mentioned reform and the life of the local inhabitants at the turn of the 18th and 19th century. Being put into context, there was even outlined the progress of establishing regulated town-councils in some Bohemian and Moravian towns and the influence of no implementation of this system on the administration functioning in the town.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to show the disputes among burghers of Lhenice during the 18th century. The historical development of this small town in the Early Modern Period and the form of the local administration in 18th century is briefly outlined in order to know the context. The analysis of one of the local extant books became the basis of this bachelor thesis. This book contains different reconciliations among neighbours of Lhenice during 1733-1775 as well.
