Occupational Safety and Health - The Development of a Training for Science Camp Leadors and Instructors
Maťáková, Jana ; Stratilová Urválková, Eva (advisor) ; Gajdošová, Veronika (referee)
The Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague, together with the Prague 10 Youth House organises science camps outside Prague and in Prague, at Faculty of Science, every year. All camp leaders must be trained in occupational health and safety (OSH) before the start of the camp to ensure maximum safety of all participants. So far, temporary material has been used for training, a presentation that did not fully meet the requirements of the camp management. Therefore, the aim of the work was to develop suitable didactic materials for OSH training for leaders at science camps. The theoretical part of the thesis compares presentations on OSH available on internet, which however proved to be unsuitable for the required purpose. The practical part describes the developer products, didactic materials, which can be found in the appendixes. These are a guideline that is primarily intended for the trainer and three presentations that are intended for face-to-face training. The guideline serves as a help for trainers who will offer the training in OSH.
New pathways to plasmonic nanoparticle assembling into 2D and 3D hybrid active systems for SERS of graphene and SERS, SERRS and GERS + SERS of aromatic molecules
Gajdošová, Veronika ; Vlčková, Blanka (advisor) ; Němec, Ivan (referee) ; Michl, Martin (referee)
In the first part of the Thesis, a new type of active system for SERS and SERRS of hydrophobic molecules, namely a 3-dimensional (3D) nanosponge aggregate with incorporated hydrophobic molecules has been developed, and tested by fullerene C60 and hydrophobic free- base tetraphenylporfine (H2TPP). The SERS and SERRS (surface enhanced /resonance/ Raman scattering) limits of detection (LODs) of C60 at four excitation wavelengths spanning the visible spectral region were found to be by one order of magnitude lower than in the reference system, which mimics the previously reported ways of utilization of Ag nanosponges as substrates for SERS and SERRS. The superiority of the newly developed sample is attributed to the efficient localization of the hydrophobic molecules into hot spots in 2D fractal aggregates of Ag nanoparticles (NPs). Diprotonation of H2TPP during the procedure using HCl as the preaggregation agent has been eliminated by employment of NaCl. On the other hand, investigation of the mechanism of H2TPP protonation during the former preparation procedure opened a possibility to employ Ag nanosponge aggregate as nanoreactor. In the second part of the Thesis, 2D assemblies of AgNPs were found to be better substrates for SERS of single layer graphene (SLG) than the 3D ones. In particular, the 2D...
Gender analysis of the publication of the author Jana Juráňová - Orodovnice
Gajdošová, Veronika ; Knotková - Čapková, Blanka (advisor) ; Kiczková, Zuzana (referee)
The aim of my work is at first characterized show female and male characters in the work named Orodovnice of feminist writer Jana Juranova and at second means of characterizing interpret and analyze what can be images of femininity and masculinity, this work offers to us through archetypal analysis and analysis of the relational nature of each character. Bacis hypothesis of this work is, that to us work offers a subversive potential in the context of contemporary social and cultural discursive practises and values. Task of this thesis is using gender analysis of the subversive potential to detect, interpret and explain in what are the possible subversive effects on the minds of people not only in literature and what possible new ways of perceiving and imaging may entail. The theoretical part is devoted to the concept and presentation of concepts in the context of feminism and literature, which considers relevant due to the focus and objective of this thesis. A separate chapter is devoted to a critical analysis of the archetype and archetypal imagery and their possible applications in the context of contemporary feminist literature. The analytical part is devoted to gender analysis of the image of male and female characters in the context of their mutual relational nature and then interpreting the...
Influence of the American economic crisis of 2007 on Czech economy
Gajdošová, Veronika ; Tichá, Milena (advisor) ; Samek, Tomáš (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses on financial crisis from 2007 and its impact on Czech economy. Special attention is given to four macroeconomic indicators in Czech Republic and their transformation during this crisis and after it. First part focuses on definition and description of characteristics and stages of business cycles, first in general and then specifically when talking about 2007's economic crisis. Subsequent practical part analyses specific economic repercussions stemming from the crisis, pointedly in macroeconomic indicators, state budget and mortgage market. In the final part of this thesis, the knowledge and findings about these areas, which accurately depict overall status of Czech economy during the crisis and after it are evaluated and commented on. This thesis may be used by humanities' teachers to illustrate the functioning of business cycles and their impacts on economies. KEYWORDS: Czech economy, business cycle, trade cycle, economic crisis, mortgage crisis, globalization
Nanotechnologie v krmivářství
Gajdošová, Veronika
This thesis is about the history, utilization and possible impacts of nanotechnologies. I chose this topic because it´s still discussed and actual. The first part describes details of the history of nanotechnology, when it was unconsciously used by the ancient Romans. I mentioned the most important scientists and technologies which are influenced the development of this science. In the second chapter I tried to describe the recent use of nanotechnologies, because we meet their products and technologies in almost everyday life. The following chapter is about minerals such as macromolecules compared to their nanoparticles, I wroted the differences and advantages of nanoparticles that could reduce the toxicity of those minerals. The last chapter contains impacts on humans, risks, properties affect toxicity and overall reduction of feed toxicity through nanotechnology.
Influence of Stephen King's ‚It' on literature and popular culture
Gajdošová, Veronika ; Ženíšek, Jakub (advisor) ; Bojarová, Marie (referee)
This bachelor's thesis intends to search for the extend of influence of Stephen King's work It on current popular culture (which includes film industry, music industry, Halloween costumes and other) and literature (demonstrated on topical examples). The theoretical part focuses on the life and work of the author and briefly goes over the synopsis of the novel It. The practical part deals with examples of influence of the book on mentioned aspects of culture (literature and popular culture). During my research I used several sources, first of all literary works, then internet articles and online videos.
