Localization of suburban inhabitants' leisure activities: the example of Roztoky

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to detect the involvement of the newly immigrated inhabitants in leisure activities at their place of residence. The city of Roztoky has been chosen as an area of the research. The city is located north of the Prague and since 2000 has been experiencing increase of inhabitants and housing construction. The thesis works with theoretical concepts of everyday life geography. The questionnaire survey was used as a method to achieve the aim of the thesis. The results show, that the most of the new Roztoky's inhabitants is involved in leisure activities localized within the city. They locate their leisure activities anywhere else only in case, if they demand higher quality or the activity is not available in their city. Children's Daily Mobility: The Case Study of the City of Stochov

Currently, the academic sphere pays more attention to children's daily mobility. There have been some transformations which fundamentally influenced everyday mobility. These changes bring many issues connected with decline of active ways of children's travelling and increase institutionalised children's game. The aim of this work is to find out patterns of everyday mobility and regular children's leisure activities in the city of Stochov. For this case study the city of Stochov has been chosen because of its environment offer, capable of supporting children's daily mobility. For the research, the form of spatiotemporal diaries is used. The diaries were supplemented by drawings to the map. While analysing them, the context was discovered between the records. The patterns of children's everyday mobility in the city of Stochov were revealed as well. The theoretical aim of the thesis is time geography concepts and above all the activity space and stations. The study results show that children of the city of Stochov have high independent mobility and they mostly use active ways of transport. Recorded stations and children's activities were concentrated mostly in the same urban system in which their school and residence are located. The activity space gained average size of 1 713 metres. Daily rhythms of municipatilies in Central Bohemian region

An object of this diploma thesis is a study of daily rhythms of municipalities in the Central Bohemian Region. The aim is to bring new insights into the daily rhythms of the suburban zone of the Prague Metropolitan Area and the Central Bohemian Region. The work has three main objectives. The first objective is to create a typology of the Central Bohemian municipalities according to their daily rhythms. Mobile phone location data is used to create the typology. There was used a method called cluster analysis. The second objective is to evaluate the daily rhythms in selected municipalities (Kněževes, Ořech, Tochovice) in detail with other data (mobile phone location data from Prague Institute of Planning and Development and commuting data from the Census 2011). Using these sources, I want to highlight the obstacles, but also the benefits of using mobile phone location data in studying of daily rhythms. The last objective is to describe in these three municipalities the pacemakers which influent their timing. The results show that in the Central Bohemian region dominate municipalities with a residential type of daily rhythm.
