Night-time visibility of horizontal road marking
Fišer, David ; MBA, Martin Tóth, (referee) ; Varaus, Michal (advisor)
This work is focused on important characteristic of horizontal road marking, which is night-time visibility, or retroreflection. Introductoty part deals with characteristics of horizontal road marking with emphasis on night-time visibility, contains summary of materials used for marking, material on drop, and also various kinds and technologies of application of horizontal marking. Next part is devoted to methods of measurement and their description including equipment for measurement. In the practical part there are listed data from measurement of retroreflection made on test area and on chosen areas of roads and also evaluation of measured data. End of this work includes obtained knowledges and review summary.

Using data mining methods for demographic survey data processing
Fišer, David ; Šídlo, Luděk (advisor) ; Kraus, Jaroslav (referee)
USING DATA MINING METHODS FOR DEMOGRAPHIC SURVEY DATA PROCESSING Abstract The goal of the thesis was to describe and demonstrate principles of the process of knowledge discovery in databases - data mining (DM). In the theoretical part of the thesis, selected methods for data mining processes are described as well as basic principles of those DM techniques. In the second part of the thesis a DM task is realized in accordance to CRISP-DM methodology. Practical part of the thesis is divided into two parts and data from the survey of American Community Survey served as the basic data for the practical part of the thesis. First part contains a classification task which goal was to determinate whether the selected DM techniques can be used to solve missing data in the surveys. The success rate of classifications and following data value prediction in selected attributes was in 55-80 % range. The second part of the practical part of the thesis was then focused of determining knowledge of interest using associating rules and the GUHA method. Keywords: data mining, knowledge discovery in databases, statistic surveys, missing values, classification, association rules, GUHA method, ACS

The role of data profiling in data quality management
Fišer, David ; Pejčoch, David (advisor) ; Kyjonka, Vladimír (referee)
The goal of this thesis is to research to role of data profiling in data quality management and the quality of existing data profiling SW tools. The role of data profiling was based up an analysis of the general methodology of approach to the management of data quality. I've compiled an own methodology for the analysis of data profiling tools. This methodology focuses on three main aspects: Technical requirements, User friendliness and Functionality. Based on the methodology the best SW solution for data profiling was chosen. General shortcomings of tested SW tools were also analysed.
Development of CMS Joomla extension supporting automatic XSLT
Fišer, David ; Hazucha, Andrej (advisor) ; Kosek, Jiří (referee)
The work is focused on extending the Joomla content plugin - XSLT Magic - written by Bc. Michal Vrchnota. This plugin was developed as a part of the SEWEBER CMS project. The main purposes of this plugin are XSLT transformations of articles made up from XML documents. One of the main reasons for creation of this work was the increasing number of transformations and their unsolved management. Another reason was bad controllability of this component and the lack of admin interface. The extension made up as a part of this work allows users to effectively manage XSLT transformations. Users will be able to look into the directory, where the transformations are being stored directly throught the CMS Joomla system. This wasn't possible up to now, because the the CMS system in its basic version lacks the component to manage files. Additionaly, users will be able to upload files into these directories and create new sub-directories. Looking into the transformations will not be a problem anymore, users will even be able to edit them in a simple text editor with marked XML syntax. Second part of the extension is focused on the administration of the original content plugin. The configuration has been made easier, so selecting transfomation to the XPath rule is simplier and users now can select the transformation from a list. This work can be used as an inspiration in creating new extensions for CMS Joomla.
