System for Monitoring of Network Protocols
Selecký, Roman ; Dražil, Jan (referee) ; Kořenek, Jan (advisor)
It is necessary to monitor networks namely for diagnostics, troubleshooting, detection of anomalies and suspicious header encapsulations. This thesis aims to design and implement a system for monitoring protocol structure on 10 Gb networks, which will be able to capture packets based on the sequence of encapsulated protocols. To achieve requested throughput some tasks like packet parsing and packet filtering were accelerated in FPGA. Flexibility is achieved by using a tool that maps P4 programs, which define packet parsing process, to VHDL language. Based on the information gained from packet parsing, flow records are created and stored via IPFIX protocol. This information is displayed through a graphical user interface in the form of protocol tree, whose nodes are associated with flow records.
Emulation of DPDK Running on an NXP Processor in the QEMU System
Postolka, Matěj ; Dražil, Jan (referee) ; Kořenek, Jan (advisor)
This project deals with the emulation of the networking features of the NXP QorIQ LS2088A processor for the purpose of testing Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK) applications. These networking features are emulated as a virtual PCI device in the QEMU machine emulator. This PCI device is compatible with the DPDK and supports the features offered by the original NXP QorIQ LS2088A hardware, thus providing a virtual environment for testing DPDK applications designed for the original NXP QorIQ LS2088A hardware.
Portation of Lawful Interception System to the Microprobe
Dražil, Jan ; Korček, Pavol (referee) ; Viktorin, Jan (advisor)
The Microprobe is an embedded device for intercepting of network communication. It is a part of the Sec6Net Lawful Intercept System (SLIS). It would be useful to run the Microprobe as a~standalone device. Without it, the microprobe requires connection to SLIS infrastructure which is a~prerequisite to run the Microprobe.  The goal of this thesis is to describe ways how to transfer SLIS to the Microprobe architecture.
Network Tasks Optimalization
Dražil, Jan ; Korček, Pavol (referee) ; Viktorin, Jan (advisor)
Nowdays, when we are running out of public IPv4 addresses, we rely on techniques that at least postpone their complete exhaustion. One of these techniques is a network address translation (NAT). Internet providers require the highest possible bandwidth from devices that perform this task. This thesis compares NAT DPDK, built on top of DPDK framework, with freely available alternatives. This work also extends NAT DPDK with Application-Level Gateway support.
Obstacle Avoidance System
Dražil, Jan ; Raichl, Petr (referee) ; Novotný, Josef (advisor)
This thesis deals with methods for the problem of navigation and movement of autonomous vehicles between obstacles. The thesis first describes in general terms algorithms for motion planning and obstacle avoidance. Then, the thesis discusses the PX4 firmware for UAV control. The thesis proposes a custom obstacle avoidance algorithm designed for UAVs. The sensor used for obstacle detection is a stereo camera. This algorithm was implemented in Python using the ROS framework and tested in the Gazebo simulation environment. The results are discussed.
