Software tool for education of the computed tomography
Doležalová, Anna ; Králík, Martin (referee) ; Mézl, Martin (advisor)
This semestral thesis is focusing on the process of displaying X-ray scanning and it’s simulation. There is described X-ray radiation and it’s possible interactions and changes. It’s also focused on the origin and detection of this radiation. In the practical part of the thesis, there is simulated the origin and attenuation of spectrum while comming through material. Then simulation software is created using MATLAB program. The simulation software allows to simulate basic processes of classical systems: X-ray tube, the interaction of radiation with the patient and subsequent detection. After selecting parametrs of simulation, the effects of the selected parametrs and X-ray spectrum will be displayed. The thesis also describes and subsequently simulates how image reconstruction of computed tomography works.
Advanced methods for sleep quality assessment
Doležalová, Anna ; Králík, Martin (referee) ; Ronzhina, Marina (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on advanced sleep assessment using deep learning. Metrics for sleep assessment and their use are described here. There are hearth rate and accelerometer data from Apple Watch used for classification. The basis for the classification was a model composed of 1D convolution networks in combination with recurrent neural network. LSTM and GRU were used as recurrent networks. Models were taught to classify into two, three and five phases. At last the resulting methods are compared.
The effect of the COVID 19 infection on the respiratory and cardiovascular system, physical stress during the course of the disease
Doležalová, Anna ; Heller, Jan (advisor) ; Šteffl, Michal (referee)
Title: Impact of the COVID 19 infection on the respiratory and cardiovascular system, physical strain during the course of the disease Aims: The primary aim of this thesis is to find and study the latest relevant findings regarding the impact of COVID 19 infection on the respiratory system, cardiovascular system and the effect of physical strain on the course of this disease. Subsequently, to write down a critical review on the topic. Methods: A literature review on the impact of COVID 19 infection on the respiratory system, the cardiovascular system and the effect of physical strain on the course of the disease. Results: The impact of the COVID 19 infection on the respiratory system is considerable. The disease can be asymptomatic or with only mild symptoms, typically shortness of breath and cough. The main manifestation of a developed infection is bilateral covid pneumonia, which progresses to ARDS in approximately 20-30% of hospitalized patients. The impact of the disease on the cardiovascular system is increasingly debated. Sources describe elevation of troponin in the serum, as an indicator of myocardial damage, in up to 12% of all cases. It can manifest as myocarditis, arrhythmias, myocardial infarction, cardiogenic shock or even heart failure. The infection of COVID 19 is a multisystem...
Nonlinear classes of mappings: properties and approximation
Doležalová, Anna ; Hencl, Stanislav (advisor) ; Pratelli, Aldo (referee) ; Krömer, Stefan (referee)
In this thesis, we explore classes of mappings suitable for models in Nonlinear Elastic- ity. We investigate whether, given the presence of certain desirable properties, there exists an element within the class that exhibits pathological behaviour. In the presented papers, we primarily focus on subclasses of Sobolev mappings, particularly weak closures of home- omorphisms with additional properties. These properties typically manifest themselves in the form of an additional term in the energy functional. We show that weak limits of Sobolev homeomorphisms in W1,n−1 satisfy the so-called (INV ) condition if the integrability of the reciprocals of the Jacobians is sufficiently high. This result is sharp and we present a counterexample for cases of lower integrability. The (INV ) condition is also preserved under weak limits when we add a term dependent on the cofactor matrix of the derivative, as its integrability provides some regularity for the inverses of the homeomorphisms in the sequence. Furthermore, we show that assumptions on regularity of the inverses can also ensure a.e. differentiability of the limit. Other topics investigated in this thesis include the sizes of critical sets violating the Luzin (N) condition in the case of Sobolev homeomorphisms and the (dis)continuity of mappings of generalized...
Using poetry in teaching German as a foreign language
Doležalová, Anna ; Bučková, Tamara (advisor) ; Švermová, Dagmar (referee)
The thesis deals with how to use poetry in German classes for non-German students. Its objective is with the help of theory to create tentative didactic material which will introduce to upper primary school pupils selected works of poets of the German language, arouse in them interest in reading and writing poetry and show them various ways of reception and comprehension. From the viewpoint of literary theory, the focus is on the poetry of Terezín ghetto and concrete poetry of the 20th and 21st century. From the perspective of literature didactics, the concern is with utilising poetry in German classes. The methods used are primary and secondary sources research, critical assessment and comparison of the sources, text selection, content assessment in terms of length and demandigness followed by didactic adaptation of the texts. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter explains the role of literature in teaching foreign languages, special stress being on poetry and examples from literature written in German. The second chapter is built around poetry written by child and adult authors from Terezín ghetto. The third chapter deals with concrete poetry (and its authors). The fourth chapter focuses on didactic possibilities brought to German teaching by poetry. The last, fifth chapter...

Volumes of unit balls of Lorentz spaces
Doležalová, Anna ; Vybíral, Jan (advisor)
This thesis studies the volume of the unit ball of finite-dimensional Lorentz sequence spaces p,q n . Lorentz spaces are a generalisation of Lebesgue spaces with a quasinorm described by two parameters 0 < p, q ≤ ∞. The volume of the unit ball Bp,q n of a general finite-dimensional Lorentz space was so far an unknown quantity, even though for the Lebesgue spaces it has been well-known for many years. We present the explicit formula for Vol(Bp,∞ n ) and Vol(Bp,1 n ). We also describe the asymptotic behaviour of the n-th root of Vol(Bp,q n ) with respect to the dimension n and show that [Vol(Bp,q n )]1/n ≈ n−1/p for all 0 < p < ∞, 0 < q ≤ ∞. Furthermore, we study the ratio of Vol(Bp,∞ n ) and Vol(Bp n). We conclude by examining the decay of entropy numbers of embeddings of the Lorentz spaces.
Production Networks of Automobile Industry as a Factor of Regional Development in Czechia
Doležalová, Anna ; Pavlínek, Petr (advisor) ; Kopačka, Ludvík (referee)
Production Networks of Automobile Industry as a Factor of Regional Development in Czechia Abstract Thesis "Production Networks of automotive industry as a factor of regional development in Czechia" deals with linking economic globalization, global production networks and regional development. The main purpose is to analyze the relationship between regional development and the Czech automotive industry, depending on the position of automotive firms in global production networks. The work focuses on three areas: quantitative analysis of the automobile supplier sector, the spatial heterogenity of firms located in different positions in global production networks and formulating typology of regional development potential. The methodology employs 37 indicators for inter-regional comparisons. Based on comparative analysis, I identified a typology of regions according to their regional develompent potential. Keywords: automotive industry, global production networks, regional development
