Comparison of students' and teachers' views on the contribution of vocational education to future path of the graduates

The thesis is dealing with vocational education in Czech Republic. Particularly, it is focused on the comparison of students' and teachers' opinion on the contribution of vocational education to future path of the graduates. It has two parts - theory and research. Theoretical part begins with discussion about vocational and general education on the philosophical and empirical level. The specifics of Central Europe in this discussion are also mentioned. In the next part, system of vocational education in Czech Republic is presented, including its history and current issues. Theory is ended with providing statistics about changes in participation in education since 1989 and about the success of the graduates in the labour market in tertiary education. In practical part, interviews with students and teachers are conducted to find out their opinion about influence of upper secondary vocational education on the future success of the graduates.
Learning Styles of Students of Secondary Schools

This thesis is focused on learning styles of students of secondary schools, particularly of secondary vocational schools. It is divided in two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the definitions of basic terms as learning, learner and meaningful learning. It also analysis the term learning style and other related terms, such as cognitive style. Final section of the theoretical part is dedicated to mesurement and influencing od leraning styles as a preparation for practical part. Practical part consists of quantitative research of learning style at secondary schools, with a focus on finding the prevailing learning style at secondary schools, comparing different types of schools in terms of learning style and proposing potential work with negative learning style, specifically on recommendations to change learning style towards meaningful learning.
Visegrad Cooperation in the EU: Eastern Partnership as an Area of Common Interest

This thesis deals with the Visegrad Group (V4) as on of the cooperating coalitions in the European Union (EU). Then, a deeper analysis of one common topic of V4 in EU is provided - analysis of V4 activities in the framework of Eastern Partnership. Therefore the aim of the thesis is to analyse concrete actions of V4 within the policy of Eastern Partnership and choose those that contribute the most to the development of Eastern Partnership.
The Presence of Africa in Czech Foreign Policy

Africa is often explored and discussed topic in the field of international relations and current global system. This thesis concerns with the presence of Africa in Czech Foreign Policy and its goal is to analyze the presence of Africa, evaluate it and to propose the recommendations for future steps of Czech Foreign Policy in this region. This goal is reached in five chapters, while first one deals with characteristics of Africa region and detects its problems, the following three chapters are the core of the paper and provide analysis of Czech-African relations in terms of bilateral, trade and multilateral dimension (specifically EU and OSN). Finally the last chapter is dedicated to the evaluation of analyzed areas and to the recommendations for future actions of Czech Foreign Policy in Africa.
