This thesis deals with the development of hydropower through water motors. It contains the basic parameters of watercourses and classification of small hydropower plants. It describes the basic distribution, construction, operation principle and scope of application of the most widely used water turbine in small hydro power plants. The second part deals with small hydroelectric power Skála Hlaváček mill basin on the Pearl creek. It describes the history and location of the building power plant, hydropower potential of the Pearl creek in the area and overall economic assessment of investment in selected small hydropower plants.
The Pneumatic Reactive Stabilization of Vehicles
Hurtečák, Jan ; Volf, Jaromír (advisor) ; Adamovský, Radomír (referee)
This thesis describes a new and original way of car stabilization as an alternative or support for the common ESP stabilization method. It summarizes the properties of present car stabilization systems and their advantages and disadvantages. Then the pneumatic stabilization method is described, which uses compressed air to trigger the necessary reacting forces that are applied to a vehicle in case of the loss of adherence. To prove the new stabilization method, there are stated some basic calculations of the jets and the obtained reacting forces are identified. Finally, the results are discussed and evaluated.
Functional Verification of the Waterproofing in the Building Structures
Semerák, Filip ; Adamovský, Radomír (advisor) ; Vítězslav, Vítězslav (referee)
The task of this thesis is to verify the functionality of the different types of waterproofing used in the building structures in terms of diffusion of water vapor. A vapour retarder, used in the roof structures and the facade systems of the wooden buildings, were primarily selected for purposes of this thesis. The first chapter contains a brief summary of the problem of the moisture distribution in the building structures and problems caused by the moisture excess. The second chapter describes the building structures, which used the vapour retarder in their assemblies, there are also described their composition and usually used materials. In the third chapter there is a description how to measure the diffusion of the water vapor through the building materials and also, there is a detailed description of the method used for the experimental measurements. The experimental measurement creates the main part of the fourth chapter. The equipment needed for this kind of measurements, the choice of materials and the description of chosen method are part of this chapter to. The fourth chapter also presents the measurement results, which are compared with the parameters specified by the manufacturer of waterproofing materials. The final part of this thesis summarizes the results of measurements and brings the recommendations for effective structural design in terms of the diffusion of the water vapour.
Assessment of the impact of thermal insulation on the energy performance of buildings
Zdeněk, Stanislav ; Adamovský, Radomír (advisor) ; Neuberger, Pavel (referee)
There are designed three types of thermal insulation of family house which covered 148 m2. Different possibilities of thermal insulation usage and technical specifications are analysed in the theoretical part of the thesis. The option swith the different type of thermal insulation are put in following order. The cheapest one with low energy efficiency is the first option andthe building with higher initial costs andhigh level of the energy efficiency is last option. Every option of building insulation is compared on the basis of few parameters. The fist calculation deals with complex analysis of the construction influenced by heat transfer. The second part of calculation specifies the analysis of Energy Performance of the designed building and thermal transmittance for each defined type of thermal insulation of the designed buildings. The goal of this bachelor thesis is to consider the higher initial costs invested to the thermal insulation due to lower operating costs, which helps sooner recovery of investment.
Economic aspects of appreciation energy sources for heat pumps
Netolička, Jan ; Adamovský, Radomír (advisor) ; Neuberger, Pavel (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with heat pumps. The individual chapters of the theoretical part describe the principle parameters of evaluation used to allow comparison. Heat pumps are divided to individual systems, and there is a quite big part of the bachelor thesis which describes low-temperature resources that are necessary for heat pumps. Claiming that occur in the theoretical part, then prove processed tables and have created charts in the chapter dealing with the economic evaluation. Primarily, the bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the cost of installing heat pumps. To illustrate the issue there is also mentioned the economic comparison of heat pumps and other fossil sources of heat.
Drying of moist materials at low temperatures
Gregor, Jakub ; Neuberger, Pavel (advisor) ; Adamovský, Radomír (referee)
The aim of this work was to develop a literature review on the issue of drying moist materials at low temperatures. The first part is devoted to an overview of drying theory, distribution and classification of dryers and a brief analysis of the most common of them. There is also addressed the issue of the effect of temperature on the dried material and the nature of low-temperature drying. The second part of the research is concerned with the broadest current method of drying at a low temperature, which is called lyophilisation. There is mentioned principle of the method, the process of drying, processing equipment, methods and examples of activities and overview of key manufacturers. The third part is devoted to other drying techniques that can be used for effective drying at low temperature and their comparison.
Verification of thermal conductivity of wood materials
Kostka, Petr ; Neuberger, Pavel (advisor) ; Adamovský, Radomír (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with verifying the thermal conductivity and other thermophysical properties of different types of wood (spruce, oak, ash and maple). A special device ISOMET 2104, which is based on dynamic method of measurement, was used. Three different samples for each type of wood were used (for example, different age of trees). Values of the thermal conductivity, the thermal diffusivity and the specific heat capacity, depending on the gradually decreasing moisture of wood, were obtained. The key point of this study was finding that the values of thermophysical properties of wood materials vary significantly depending on the age, growing conditions, properties of the soil and other factors. Some of the data correspond with previously published studies but other data are in contrast to them.
Energy and economic effects of the heat pumps use
Junek, Marek ; Adamovský, Radomír (advisor) ; Neuberger, Pavel (referee)
The thesis deals with the use of heat pumps, because of the need for better energy management of all kinds. The focus of this work is also focused on the history of the development of heat pumps, as well as search through all types of pumps, physical principles to the design of optimal heat pump. Information in this work should shed light on the various myths that circulate about heat pumps and bring them to debunk and to assess the suitability of the heat pump and its design.
Use of secondary heat ventilation air in multifunctional building
Dvořák, Jan ; Adamovský, Radomír (advisor) ; Neuberger, Pavel (referee)
This work deals with the theme of heat recovery from waste air and moisture recovery in residential areas. In a brief introduction, introduces the reader to various aspects of the energy system of choice due to the location and method of application equipment for heat recovery. In the following chapters is described theoretically transfer heat exchanger and determination exchanger efficiency, along with the search components including the basic distribution of each kind secondary heat recovery coils. Part of the theory is evaluating the effectiveness of the use of heat recovery equipment. The second part is solved draft multipurpose building consisting of a concert hall and the administrative section of the building. According to the resulting requirements for air-conditioning equipment has been selected with the described type of heat exchanger. Follow economic evaluation facility and the conclusion. The attachment is plan with a description of the location of equipment in the building.
Heat sources for low temperature heating systems
Vyskočil, Petr ; Adamovský, Radomír (advisor) ; Neuberger, Pavel (referee)
The goal of this bachelor´s work is to analyse heat sources which is suitable for low temperature heating systems and to descript of main principles and kinds of this heating. The work is divided in five main parts. The first (most extensive) part is description of the history of heat pump, its principle, working substances and basic sources of low potencional energy. The second part of the work is explanation of principles of condensing boiler and natural gas combustion with regard to combustion efficiency. Basic structural elements are included in third section of this work. Next section is discusion of the author´s view on this issue. Is evident from this work that none of this heating system is better in term of advantages and disadvantages. But intension of thist work is primarily description of this advantages and disadvanages.
