Interaction parent-child with autistic spectrum disorders

The topic of this diploma thesis is Interaction between parent and child with autistic spectrum disorder. The theoretical part is about mental development neurotypical preschool child and child with ASD, focused on social skills, speech and play. Emphasis is placed on reciprocity in parent-child socio-communication interaction. Next chapter is devoted to the specifics of raising a child with ASD. Empirical part contains qualitative research to investigate individual variability in social-communication behaviour in dyadic interaction parent-child with ASD. Videos were taken from which the socio-reciprocal skills, frequency and quality of interactions and initiation of contact on the part of the child and its response to parental initiation were analysed. Special attention was paid to making eye contact. The output of the thesis is practical recommendations for mothers, detailed qualitative analyses of observed interactions and a more detailed description of the socio-communicative behaviour of children with PAS. Long term foster-care and the temporary one - psychological aspects of the foster-parent view and child's view.

This thesis primarily deals with foster care. The readers are acquainted with the basic informations from the topic. Further on it deals with the issue of creating connections with foster parents. It points out differences and permanency of the realionship between the long term foster care and the temporary foster care. It outlines the specifics of psychological aspects in both forms of foster care on the side of the child and the foster parent himself. In the second part the qualitative proposal of research is submitted which is focused on children's experience with the foster care. It is trying to point out subjective view of children in their positive and negative form, due to the foster care, emotional anchoring in foster family and last but not least the children's view of transitions between families and problems connected to it. One of the outcomes of this research is to create hypotheses which will be used as a support for next research projects.
