Analysis of the support for students with special needs in the form of assistance during their studies at the Charles University in Prague

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to analyse assistance services functioning at Charles University in Prague. The results of the analysis should draw attention to strengths and weaknesses of the functioning of the service assistance at Charles University. To detect these weaknesses and strengths, semistructured interviews were used. The students and assistants (who together create this assistance) were interviewed. At the same time, also the employees of the Office for Students with Special Needs which coordinates the service assistance at Charles University were interviewed. For comparison, a similar interview was conducted with the head of the Centre for handicapped students, which provides service assistance at the University of Economics in Prague. These interviews were used to a more detailed insight into the work of assistance services at Charles University. The study analyses the functionality of the service and is attempting to define the needs to help disadvantaged students to balance study conditions. Based on the results of work defines effective form of assistance. The low level of awareness of the service and the related non-systematic underpinning of disadvantaged students and assistants would be the most important weakness to mention. The Influence of Single - Sex Tourist Groups on Creating the Identity of Their Members - Case Study

This MA thesis deals with the influence of single-sex tourist groups on creating the identity of their members. The aim is to discover the effect of membership in such a non-coeducational tourist clubs on children, and also how this leisure activity affects children's identity and what impact it has on their development. The theoretical part discusses socializing, social environment, gender, gender socialization and gender stereotypes. Furthermore, it also deals with the influence of peers and peer groups for socialization of children and the issue of the high quality use of leisure time. For the purpose of this thesis, interviews were carried out with all parties involved in the functioning of these clubs, namely leaders, instructors, parents and of course also the current and former members of these clubs. For comparison of some statements, an interview with a leader of a very similar, but non-coeducational club was carried out. The results showed that non-coeducational clubs are beneficial for children because the children have the opportunity to access activities normally carried out by the members of the opposite sex, and to do so without gender-motivated social prejudices. London's Vogue in years 1992-1998

This work deals with the content of photos published in the context of editorials of the British mutation Vogue magazine in 1992 - 1998. Content is investigated by using semiotic analysis of the image. At first, the reader is acquainted with the theoretical basis of the work, where you can find presentation of the material, the subject of examination and options of exploration in terms of materials' characteristics and the chosen method of investigation. The theoretical part is based on the professional literature in the field of media theory, theory of fashion design and other disciplines working with image. Subsequently, the thesis contains a demonstration of semiotic analysis, made on selected editorial. The analysis is largely influenced with the subjective view. At the end, summarizes the observed characteristics of the content in each year on the basis of the semiotic analysis of the collected image materials. The work finds central themes, that are repeated on the photographs in different variations and describes changes and trends of displaying themes. The central motif of contents are women their conduct and roles. The contents show women's relations within our reality.
