Business Plan for Nutrition Centre Establishment
Urban, Pavel ; Švec, Marek (referee) ; Bayerová, Vladimíra (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the elaboration of a business plan for the establishment of a nutrition center in Olomouc. In the first part, there are elaborated the theoretical starting points for the business plan, and then the thesis deals with analyses and a segmentation of the market. Based on this information the proposal of the business plan is elaborated.
Measurement of anechoic chambers
Švec, Marek ; Nováček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Dřínovský, Jiří (advisor)
This Master’s project deals with general aspects and possible solution of effective shielded cover and cell/chamber shielding measurement for needs of electromagnetic compatibility EMC on the basis of available norms and standards. Electromagnetic shielding is one of the most anticlutter means of EMC. Its main task is reduction of disturbing emission at the side of sources of disturbing signals as well as electromagnetic resistance increase at the side of disturbing signal receivers. Shielding is considered to be an important structural means to reduce electromagnetic field referring to a defined space part. Technical means for achieving the given goals are called shielded covers or shielded cells/chambers. Shielding is one of highly effective methods related to electromagnetic protection, for instance against power/output disturbance. To express the shielding quality so called shielding effectiveness SE is used. It represents logarithmic rate of shielding coefficient that is defined by the intensity ratios of electric and magnetic fields in a certain point of the shielded space to electric or magnetic field intensity incident/impinging on the shielded screen or wall.

Business Plan
Švec, Marek ; Krbová, Jana (advisor) ; Dvořák, Jiří (referee)
The thesis is written on the theme "Concept of business plan on handmade paper mill in Jindřichův Hradec." The theoretical part describes the basic terms of brownfields and their financing. Another theoretical chapter is about the structure of a business plan. The practical part deals with the creation of a concept of a business plan for the utilisation of selected brownfield and its use in the future. It focuses on a specific object in the Jemčinská street 247.
Resurrection of the so-called Tobin tax. What are the intended unintended and the unintended unintended consequences of financial transaction tax?
Švec, Marek ; Mládek, Josef (advisor) ; Hájek, Jan (referee)
In recent times some economists and politicians in the context of financial crisis dusted off again the idea of introducing the so-called Tobin tax, or financial transaction tax (FTT), respectively. This thesis briefly reviews the existing literature on FTT. Two case studies of Sweden and Great Britain show in some respects two different experiences with FTT. The theses analyzes in detail the economic implications of the European Commission proposed FTT from the perspective of economic theory and economic policy. Partial conclusions of the thesis reveal some drawbacks and pitfalls of FTT. While the benefits of FTT remain rather controversial. The theses therefore concludes that FTT is not due to the severity of its impacts appropriate economic measure.
Economics and deflation
Švec, Marek ; Písař, Pavel (advisor) ; Štěpánek, Pavel (referee)
This thesis deals with deflation. Today the importance of inflation and deflation is creating a false impression about the true meaning of those two economic concepts. The objective of this work is to summarize the concept of deflation and a detailed taxonomy of the Austrian School view contrasted against a traditional view of mainstream economics and the widespread view that deflation is one of the most serious disorders, such as the economy may suffer. But are falling prices really so bad? The theoretical part mainly demonstrates by the value-neutral analysis that the long-declining prices in most cases are beneficial. In the end, these theoretical knowledge is applied in the case study, which analyzes in detail the Japanese economy, for which deflation became synonymous. Findings will be compared with the monetary policies conducted by the Bank of Japan, so I wanted to demonstrate that the persistent economic downturn in Japan is not because of price deflation, but as the result of aggressive fiscal and monetary policies to halt the decline in general level of prices of goods and services.
